10 most overrated games of 2009

FEAR2 I noticed the AI have set patterns where they knock over tables etc, it gives an impression of good AI but never reacted on the fly like KZ2.

As indifferent as I am to Killzone 2. It is the best game to show off a home cinema system.

I'm still wondering if that guy even understands what 'overrated' actually means...

Battlefield: Bad Company or Dead Space, personally. BC's audio in particular puts pretty much everything else I've played this gen to shame.

Nah not even the PS3 version with uncompressed sound can beat, MGS4 let alone Killzone 2 in the sound department.

Forza 3. Really. I was so underwhelmed by this game I just can't bring myself to play it - not when I have the thrills 'n' spills of Dirt 2 and NFS:Shift on hand. Forza 3 offered nothing new, under-delivered in just about every department and is, imo, thoroughly deserving of the Most Overrated Game of 2009. Do yourselves a favour and give NFS:Shift a try, instead: where racing is genuinely exciting and the AI totally up for it.

His argument for it being overrated doesn't even make sense. He basically just named its genre. :lol:

I'm with Mafro on this. Bad Company's sound is incredible.

Forza 3's handling is leagues ahead of the other two though. :fp:

Uncharted 2 was a masterpiece.

Who is this guy, and how can you possibly say a game is overrated, just because the masses like something it doesn't make it automatically gooseberry fool. How can he say PvZ adds nothing to the genre, and is just a clone and a compared to other Popcap games, when other games made by the company, Zuma for example are copies of games like Puzz Loop.

I agree with about half of those personally...

Killzone 2
Forza 3
Modern Warfare 2
New Super Mario Bros Wii (possibly)
Uncharted 2

The others I haven't had the honour of playing :lol:

Halo ODST is another contender for the list IMO :shifty:

Maybe you should stop playing video games BIDO? Or give your consoles to some poor kids who might actually enjoy playing games

I am a miserable person... but still!

The keyword is overated.

Killzone 2 was okay
Forza 3 was the one of the better racers this year
Modern Warfare like Halo just doesn't do it for me

If someone took those games away from me tomorrow, it would be a few days before I noticed. Hell, three of those titles I listed earlier, I've actually lent to friends or family!

I'm a bit bitter that the games I really wanted this year didn't materialise :cry:

Played some multiplayer round my brother's but haven't touched the single player.
