Watched it yesterday.

It was frankly crap. I wouldn't bother with it from now on.

That was pretty much the only passable thing in the whole show.

You said, it GD. A prime example of left-wing comedians who are all oh-so-politically correct it hurts. But, then again, can we actually think of any comedians on TV who are not actually left-wing and 'right-on'? Name me one so-called comedian who dares to take issue with...oh, I dunno, say 'man-made climate change', for instance? Can you think of any?

No, of course not. Intellectual pygmies and cowards, all.

Loved the way she used 'I don't plan to have kids' as her excuse to lead an unhealthy lifestyle and add further strain on the NHS. Somehow I think the kids thing is out of her hands ;)

No. He's awful. Wasn't funny back in the PC Zone days, and he's only on TV now because he knows the right people.

Is this reached its potential yet or is it still Guardian TV?

Frankie Boyle. Not the climate change thing, but he doesn't give a gooseberry fool. And a lot of people hate him for being inflammatory and anti-establishment. Can't win.

Edit: also, to support your point (effectively), look at Clarkson. No, he's not a stand-up, yes he does openly say he thinks climate change is bollocks. He is also widely unpopular, yet equally popular enough to make you think there's got to be a market out there for a bit more climate skepticism.

True. He's never been funny in of himself (with the exception of TV Go Home), but Screenwipe was awesome. I mean, fantastic. It turned a the mirror on TV production in a funny and entertaining manner that was about as self deprecating as you can get without being pathetic.

Since then he's done nothing of interest. His Guardian columns consist of unimaginative vitriol aimed squarely at low hanging fruit, Newswipe somehow managed to be incredibly boring and 10 o'clock live...well, the less said the better.

The only decent thing he's done recently is Konnie Huq.

Have you ever seen Jerry Sadowitz's act? It sounds right up your street. Also he does magic, and that's basically the same as climate-change denial right?

There is a market out there for more climate scepticism - Clarkson is popular for a reason, of which his anti-establishment views on 'global warming' is just one. It resonates with a huge number of people.

Taffy: I could describe Al Gore's particular brand of 'climate science' as equally smoke and mirrors as you claim my scepticism is. You know, your remark is an extremely cheap shot and entirely unqualified. Dismiss us sceptics, by all means, but it might be a good idea to check if you have the scientific proof to back up your sneering certainties.

Cool, Cal's on about climate change again in another thread, that's nice.

Penn Jillette is an extremely right wing comedian.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:
