I was wondering, has there been a moment in your life, when if you had turned left instead of right, or walked into burger king instead of KFC etc etc, and by doing that little thing, you whole life changed? like you met the love of your life, or you fell down some stairs and need a wheel chair etc etc.

like on that Doctor Who episode.....

I once took the red pill instead of the blue pill. Now I have to put up with shitty strawberry floating Murder She Wrote repeats in the wonderful "Real World" and get constantly chased by camp idiots in suits. :x

Actually, meeting my ex was a long string of coincidences, the slightest thing could have meant we'd never have met. I actually did believe it was fate until she split us up for no reason :fp:

I started replying to this topic and ignored the missus whilst she was talking to me and now she's walked out...

 The thing is how you would you know? We must all make choices each day that affect our lives.

You can't really tell unless you can go back in time and try the other decision, see what happens then.

Yep, I once didn't go downstairs, and if I had I would have fallen down and broken my neck.

Lucky I didn't aye?

A guy I went to school with could be doing that, Robbo.

Also, I have never, ever, had a life crossroads that could have been determined by me. Poor show. :fp:

From what Donnie Darko has taught me, which isn't much, we have little stringey things coming out of our stomachs because of the decisions we make.

Almost every decision in life could be like that and you might not necessarily know.

When I got a phone call from my now-bandmate James about going down to Blackpool one night and trying out for his band, I was really hesitant and almost didn't bother going down. Almost 2 years on and I've played at Glastonbury, been on TV and had a brilliant time gigging, gained a fair bit of experience with recording and definitely improved my playing ability. If I had decided not to, or dropped out early on like I also considered as at first it didn't appeal to me as much as I wanted it to, then I'd most likely have never done those things. Though who knows if another opportunity could've arisen? I can guess it most likely wouldn't have done, but can't guarantee it.

Even ridiculously small decisions could do it after a following chain of events. Sometimes they'll slap you in the face and you'll know that it was a brilliant decision, other times, you'd never know the difference. Such is the way of the world.

its that twist of fate isn't it. I'm in a similiar unmusic related situation, but on the otherhand, you don't know what would of happened if you had not of gone, your life could of been even better. Depends if you believe in fate or not really.
