This is a listing of what I've been able to piece together for the best of the year of downloadable games over various platforms, the only restriction is that they have to be firstly downloadable titles (so no retail games that are also available as a download).
I'd also like to point out that its a list put together largely from my knowledge and as such is bound to have gaps in (looking at it largely on the PC front), obviously the games in question have somehow made an impression on me that they are really good, this is not to say I've personally played all of them (some of them aren't out yet). Anyway without further explanation here is is...

So, what have everyones favourite games been? What platform has had the best of it? Is someones favourite game missing from the list?
All in all, I don't think anyone can argue that its been quite a year for the downloadable title. I can see more than 10 games there that would normally be in the running for the best downloadable title of the year.
It's called Alpha stages and beta stages. We have those on PC games and it means the community can actually test things. Unlike with Console games, beta's are not just advertising tools avaliable for one week before taken away to get more people to buy their game.
Perfect Dark XBLA. Still my favourite FPS. It's a shame the multiplayer was borked (online that is).
As far as original games go, probably Radiangames Fluid, I really wished there were more levels but for 80 points what can you expect? I also think Hypership should be in the list of XBLIG, it's one of the best releases this year, despite the understated presentation.
Oh and Beat Hazard, both PC and XBLIG, is pretty cool.
