- SSX sells 3m+ copies, becomes Vita/WiiU launch title.
- The Last Story and Pandora's Tower both launch in Feb, and become collectors items after a week.
- At E3 we get rolling demos of 720/PS4. The WiiU drops the Wii branding after the 3DS confusion and just becomes Nintendo U (or NU) which sounds much better.
- The DSi gets chopped to £80ish and games drop to RRP£20. Nintendo reveal a slimmer model at E3.
- SEGA release a new console in conjunction with Blaze. Its like those MD things but plays Dreamcast titles. It had Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 built in, and plays ROMs downloaded to SD card. At £50 it is constantly out of stock.

- All three will be blu-ray but PS4 and Xbox Next will offer simultanious downloads on all releases that can be preloaded before launch. Hopefully they will offer reasonable prices that are actually cheaper than physical copy.

- Much less of a graphic improvement than we have seen before. The focus will be on deepening the experience through new contols for casuals and bigger, more intricate worlds for hardcore gamers.

- MS will make online play free but offer incentives for Gold membership.

- Nintendo fall behind into third place again. MS dominate with Sony in second.

- Slimmer, curvier 3DS lite at E3
- Microsoft show a 'next gen' graphics trailer just ahead of the Nintendo conference (ala Sony 2005)
- PS Vita flops
- EA Grand Slam Tennis becomes the first decent PS Move game
- Apple's iTV threatens home consoles in the same way iPhone threatened handhelds.
- Sony unveil a VR headset at E3. Demos it with Killzone 3 and PS Move.

The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them in parliament.

GT6 will be announced for 2013. Will actually launch in 2018.

And will feature 7562 cars, 7490 of which will be PSOne standard.

Cooldawn and the Sony crew will overlook this fact with arguments based on pure numbers and 'Kaz'.

Surely PS4 would try and be released before Xbox as it lost out big time on that mistake before?

Yeah but look at the rest
Bulletstorm to be as big as Gears 3

Brink to be sleeper hit of 2011

Move to fade away but play host to some great core games, most notably Killzone 3

Gears 1 & 2 to be rereleased with Kinect support at Easter

3DS to be huge but not as big as DS

Santa's Extra Presents wrote:Ooh, this is always fun.

- Next Xbox to be based around Kinect 2 and a more powerful version of the Xbox 360's architecture. It will still feature a controller, but it will be in two halves to allow freedom of movement. Both halves will be wireless. Using cloud functionality, transferring saves, games and profiles between 360 and new Xbox will be easy. It may even allow you to play your old 360 and XBLA games directly from the cloud, with no download. It will be announced at E3, but will not launch until late 2013.

- Playstation 4 will not have disc media. Download-only, it will have a new controller, a cross between Move and Dualshock. It will still be based around the Cell architecture, but more powerful. A deal with Onlive will allow that service to be accessed on the machine. Late 2013 launch.

- Playstation Vita will initially have a decent launch, but sales will tail off, with the price of memory cards leaving a sour taste in people's mouths. Soon after, a version with built-in memory will be announced. A couple of games will appear that allow the PS Vita and PS3 to interact in a meaningful way, and will require both machines to be owned. These games will not sell well, but will be loved by the people who have bought them. Think GC-GBA link-up.

- Wii U will pleasantly surprise everyone, with a decent amount of RAM and a CPU based around the POWER7 architecture. Ultimately, the Wii U, Next Xbox and PS4 will have roughly similar capabilities with the control methods and exclusive games setting each machine apart. Nintendo will have struck up a deal with a third-party to develop the Wii U's online capabilities, and will allow Facebook and Flash games to be run on the system. The machine launches with a brand new Mario platformer, Nintendo having learned from the launch of the 3DS.

Everyone listen. He has been right before....

Xbox 720 is released which is 10x more powerful than the 360, coupled with the general increase in broadband speeds games are now capable of 20 player coop modes vs the AI.

The knock on effect is versus modes die out, games become more fun and social and Xbox live is a happier place.
