FIFA 13 and a new COD will be released. In fact, I'm convinced this will be the case.

Ooh, this is always fun.

- Next Xbox to be based around Kinect 2 and a more powerful version of the Xbox 360's architecture. It will still feature a controller, but it will be in two halves to allow freedom of movement. Both halves will be wireless. Using cloud functionality, transferring saves, games and profiles between 360 and new Xbox will be easy. It may even allow you to play your old 360 and XBLA games directly from the cloud, with no download. It will be announced at E3, but will not launch until late 2013.

- Playstation 4 will not have disc media. Download-only, it will have a new controller, a cross between Move and Dualshock. It will still be based around the Cell architecture, but more powerful. A deal with Onlive will allow that service to be accessed on the machine. Late 2013 launch.

- Playstation Vita will initially have a decent launch, but sales will tail off, with the price of memory cards leaving a sour taste in people's mouths. Soon after, a version with built-in memory will be announced. A couple of games will appear that allow the PS Vita and PS3 to interact in a meaningful way, and will require both machines to be owned. These games will not sell well, but will be loved by the people who have bought them. Think GC-GBA link-up.

- Wii U will pleasantly surprise everyone, with a decent amount of RAM and a CPU based around the POWER7 architecture. Ultimately, the Wii U, Next Xbox and PS4 will have roughly similar capabilities with the control methods and exclusive games setting each machine apart. Nintendo will have struck up a deal with a third-party to develop the Wii U's online capabilities, and will allow Facebook and Flash games to be run on the system. The machine launches with a brand new Mario platformer, Nintendo having learned from the launch of the 3DS.

We are not at this stage yet. Good call on the Onlive stuff, that is going to be on the big pulls for next gen consoles

Aside from my other very other intuitive prediction. I also expect Vita will be a massive flop.

Wii U will be barely more powerful than 360/PS3, will not sell Wii numbers

Nextbox will be announced at E3 but will not release until 2013

Black Ops 2 from Treyarch

Halo IV or Bioshock Infinite will be GOTY.

Vita will struggle.

Sony will keep quiet on PS4, probably a 2014 release unless Vita really bombs then it will be shelved.

Perfect Dark 2 and Banjo Threeie will be shown for Nextbox.

- A Call of Duty game will be released. It will do quite well.

- A full-blown Gears of War prequel will be announced/teased at E3.

- Microsoft will show off the new Xbox at E3, but Sony won't reveal a new PS3 until late in the year, if at all. All focus will be on the Vita launch, which, in true Sony fashion, will post respectable numbers but still be seen as an abject failure by the forum-dwellers for the first three to six months.

- Wii U will be flooded with current-gen ports for the majority of the year, most not making any worthwhile use of the console's unique feature set. Millions will perish from the sheer levels of apathy generated.

So, basically...Sony & Nintendo will be the gooseberry fools and Microsoft will go on to have a game of the year.
