I'm having a kid and getting married in the next five months, so really don't have time for personal improvement this year.

I do, however, have a to-do list a mile long, so I'll just crack on with that.

My main one is to buy a house. I've got a decent wedge saved away, it's just finding a place that I'd actually want to live in. I have immensely high standards for houses, though.

Apart from that, I've got the usual get a bit fitter (want to start bouldering again this year) and try and get my little friendship group out for more social things. Going to get our pub quiz on as soon as everyone can figure out an evening they're all free... :dread:

Need to get myself used to flying and maybe go to Ireland this year too but those are less resolutions and more "I'd like for this to happen" goals.

I set myself three last year and managed only the one (get my first car). Going to do three again this year and hopefully have a bit more luck.

The first is the same that everyone seems to have which is weight. Last year I went from a XXXL shirt size to a XXL shirt size. This year I want to be down to a XL at the minimum. I'm not going to work with a target weight because I don't know what weight I should be etc, so getting down another shirt size will make me feel more comfortable in myself for sure.

Secondly is to increase my savings. I've got a pay rise starting as of today which should see me earning about an extra day 3k a year. I've always hovered at around £500 in my savings, I want to have £2k as a minimum in there by the end of the year.

Thirdly is to do with entertainment. I've bought hundreds of games, films and books, I reckon half of them have never been played etc. I want to try and finish the equivalent of a game a week from the games I already own, and read more of the books I already own.

- Get fit aka start running again.
- Sign up to those Spanish lessons I keep going on about.
- As I've recently moved to a new city, make and maintain a new social group through clubs, events and general social stuff.
- Learn to play more than one song on my ukelele.
- Read more.
- Eat better/less
