1. Fitness goals - sit around 12.5-13 stone down from 14, be able to run 10k in under 55 minutes, the rest of the stuff in the fitness thread. The actual weight goal wouldn't be that big a deal if I could get to 88kg of muscle, but I don't see that happening.
2. Finish PhD. Nine years(fuuu) of being a student comes to an official and definitive end on 1st June and I've been trying to draft my thesis for most of the second half of 2015, so this needs to be finished.
3. Find some hobbies. This is more for the second half of the year because I won't have much time in the first. Looks like I'm doing a PADI diving course in February as well, which could be awesome. I used to love snowboarding, gaming etc but never do anything anymore, mostly 'cause work. I'd also like to start a martial art or some sort of fighting. Did kickboxing for a few months a while back and loved it, but drifted off and never bothered restarting.
4. Start saving. I want to either move abroad for a year or buy a house(well, West End flat because I'm a hipster banana split) when I finish uni, so this is the year to start working towards doing that.
5. I'm really bad at befriending people when I meet them. In 2016 I'd like to be better at being social. This makes it sound like I have no friends, I have plenty of friends(
). I'd just like to be able to go to a party and not feel like I have to stick to the people I know. Less social anxiety is maybe the right way of putting it.
I think they're all achievable with some work on my part. Adding them up, it really boils down to starting to be an adult this year, at the young age of 26.
