As I expected it was a big pile of meh to me. 90% of it just seemed so generic. Generic spins on generic themes with an added twist of generic. Only a few things stood out. Metro looked good but heavily scripted. I'm sure it will look that good but the movement and such is just false. Really disappointed with AC because what the series really needed to do is make it an RPG with mythological beasts. Why not just make it a new bloody IP ffs.
That said if I can gooseberry fool on peoples heads with the Eagle then I might forgive it. Shadow of War didn't demo so well. The world looks more interesting this time which is good but that Orc.
Seriously forced and misplaced humour. But the first was ace so if that builds on it then I'm there Day When Its Cheap. The Last Night looked ace. That platformer that had a kiddiefied Conker was horrid. Looked like someone caught a glimpse of classic Rare but then had to make a copy from memory and then said this looks too edgy so lets make it look like a breakfast cereal box. Ashen looked cool but I know very little of the game itself. Sea of Thieves............ looked total cack. But. BUT. It looks like it could be a fun thing to play when chatting with some mates. Viewed in isolation it seemed limp, slow and clunky.
Only games that really stood out on a technical visual level for XBONX were Forza and Anthem. The first might be great but its Forza and you know Forza and I know Forza everything Forza so much Forza its Forza and Forza everywhere. Anthem looked awesome once it got out into the world. But the game just ended up looking like most other online grindathons. Might be quite fun. Just as long as the lore isn't impenetrable tripe like Destiny.
