24 - Prequel Series Tracing Jack Bauer’s Origin Story In the Works At Fox

Former 24 executive producer David Fury has closed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television, the studio behind the Emmy-winning real-time Fox drama. Under the pact, Fury will become the first writer to join the upcoming Fox event series 24: Live Another Day, joining former 24 showrunner Howard Gordon, who is behind the new installment.

There are a lot of bad ass cops and secret agents out there with the initials JB. Jack Bristow, Jason Bourne, Jack Bauer,Johny Bravo and James Bond.

Stick them all on the same show and see what happens,maybe something like robot wars.

The trouble with 24 is they killed off all the decent characters for dramatic cliffhangers. It means there are very few who can return, unless they pull a tony fake death cop out again.

I've just started re-watching 24 from the beginning on Netflix Mexico. :wub:

It's superb, but it's really odd going back to something that doesn't feel old, but doesn't have any smartphones, etc.

I feel like that when watching the original Superman movie. Apart from the fashion it all seems normal enough until Kent goes into the planet and starts pounding away on a typewriter! It's all normal at the time but the world keeps turning.

I haven't watched 24 since it ended but I'm getting the urge to start it again. I think once Breaking Bad is done I'm gonna start going through it.

I didn't mind Audrey that much, she at least gave Jack something to live for when everything else went to gooseberry fool.

I just hope this series is grounded somewhat in reality, I couldn't bare a season 6 style 24 ever again.
