Season 5 was amazing, DAT VILLAIN :o

Season 4 the worst? strawberry float off :slol:

Season 6 comes close but the first few episodes in S6 are the best in the entire show.

With S4 every single week was just a mindless action scene.

Wasn't actually that good.

"My name is not Ahmed...it's ACK-MEEEEDDDD!"

But that scene where he single handed storms terrorist stronghold to rescue secretary of defence in a race against clock with fighters inbound. Jack Bauer at his most kick ass! Apart from the pier ending to series 1, and armoured attack on Logan in 8 I don't think he's ever been so bad ass!

That was season 4, not 6.

The only good scene in 6 was when Jack stormed a warehouse. It ended with a hanging. But yeah, end of season 1 beats everything.

That was great but come on, Jack killing Curtis, throwing up and then watching a nuke detonate. Fantastic stuff. Sure the season was pretty much all down hill after that but I feel like that climax of the fourth episode was so good it almost justifies the whole season.

Sepinwall says it will still be real time but it might skip ahead sometimes. This should give them some much needed creative freedom while still retaining the urgency of using real time and allowing them to skip the usual mid-season lull. Hype get.

£100 says it's set in Korea and then just as it airs, a real Korean war kicks off and the show gets pulled.

Yay! But also :| There are times since it finished that I've wanted some 24 and needed the daft balls-out action but bringing it back to TV after ending it on a fairly decent note.......I'm not sure what to think. Taking it away from the 24 episode format could be a plus and a con. Making it different from the original could chance the entire feel while having it halved could create a more concentrated dose of awesome. Bringing it back after a break could mean everyone is recharged and the writers have some fresh ideas but at the same time having it instead of the movie might mean they take their two hour idea and stretch it out to 12.

I look forward to seeing it but until I see it I really don't know what to think.

It had better be an entire new cast besides Keifer. And not fall over itself to bring back old characters via forced cameos. Okay, okay, maybe Tony, but that's it.

They have a year to write the scripts too. So they should be able to ensure there is no filler or mid-season lull.

Saying that, I am not particularly pleased it is coming back. It ended on a relative high and only had one real stinker of a season (6, obviously, though 4 was too action-orientated for my liking).

I don't really get wound up in the clamour for dead tv/film series to be resurrected. Thematically, if something has finished it is often best to stay that way, and 24 had a good run. You can't say it was cancelled before its time or that it ended at a low point. It felt over and done with to me.

I sort of agree, but if in three years they start talking about resurrecting Breaking Bad I wouldn't dare complain. I don't rank 24 quite as highly as BB, but I still welcome its return.

I wish they'd bring back lost and remake the last season :dread:

Maybe they could do a reboot and finish it in a single season like they should have.

Anyone who didn't see the LOL THEY'RE ALL DEAD IN THE END, ending is fooling themselves.

I'm done with 24.

I'm watching season 3 again at the moment and there's just nothing likeable about Bauer at all. He's just an asshole.

To be fair he's suffering from Heroine addiction pretty much that whole season. I think most people would be a bit grumpy too.

Yeah having to dress up like a heroine saving everyone's day can take a toll on his mental health.

It's not just that season though, it's every single one. He's a banana split and I'd rather he died at the end. Add to that the ridiculous way they can take a photo that looks like it's been taken with an early camera phone, and make it crystal clear after zooming in and I'm just about ready to smash my tv.
