That's a majorly dickish thing to say to the press. Pretty sure it's common that they try to equal out the height of actors to make the lead look taller. That and every other cast member has always credited Kiefer's professionalism and passion for the show.

Freddie Prinze Jr doesn't actually mention anything Kiefer Sutherland did that was 'unprofessional.' Maybe they never bonded, maybe FPJ didn't like not being the star, maybe he didn't like taking his shoes off, but this doesn't mean Sutherland was unprofessional. I'm not saying this as mad fanboy of Sutherland's, just that surely over 9 series something would have come out by now.

There's a 7 min feature exclusive to the Blu-Ray set, SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS -

Image

24: Solitary is an upcoming 7 minute “story extension” exclusive to the 24: Live Another Day Blu-Ray set. It features the return of fan favorite character Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard).

Tony was last seen in the 24 Season 7 finale when he was taken into custody for the attempted murder of Alan Wilson (the man responsible for his wife Michelle’s death). Solitary reveals that he’s been in prison for over five years.

In the photo above you can see that Tony Almeida has longer hair, a scruffy beard, and is wearing an orange prison jumpsuit. Actor Barry Livingston plays the Prison Administrator and actress Michelle C. Bonilla will be playing U.S. Attorney Vanessa Diaz.

This project was filmed in Los Angeles on June 30th and reunites some of the old 24 crew – cinematographer Guy Skinner, production designer Carlos Osorio, and prop master Sterling Rush. It was written by Adam DaSilva and directed by Jordan Goldman.

The short is being produced by Bagg Street Productions and is curiously described as an “exclusive bridge scene” on their website. Could this be bridging the gap between Live Another Day and a possible Day 10?

You’ll be able to watch this featurette when the Blu-Ray edition of 24: Live Another Day launches on September 30th.

As much as that makes me want the blu-ray even more, I'm not budging until they re-release all the seasons on blu-ray. Nope. Not budging at all.

Now maybe they can do the movie/tv special they had planned. A simple break Jack out of Russia storyline. I am hoping we will see a team of rogues form up again similar to season 7, featuring Kate Morgan, Chloe O'Brian, Belcheck and of course Tony Almeida  setting up a proper season where the new team target terrorists around the world without the backing of any governments.

That was pretty sweet.

Toni!

Also:

In the credits: "Voice of Handler: Xander Berkley"

MASON!?

How would that even work? The guy had radiation sickness and had a Nuke go off on top of him, so there is not a chance he's back. Can't see him playing another character. Unless he's literally just a voice on the phone for this one off. In which case that's cool.

Just a fun easter egg I'd imagine.

It would be crazy if they didn't do another season after this given what they've set up.

There has to be more coming. You don't do something like this and not follow it up.
