True, I'd still like some of games with the bigger budgets getting better local though.

Definitely. Have you played A Way Out? It's a unique experience and one of my favourites of this year

Regarding 1 and 2. With the Bloodstained games I may change these.

Have you played the the prequel Bloodstained game? It’s classic Castlevania through and through. Very similar to Castlevania III I believe with the recruitable characters, alternate routes and whatnot.

As for my wishes,

1) A collection of Amiga titles by Psygnosis on PS4 (mostly Blood Money)... Sony owns their back catalogue right?

2) Sony to buy out/merge with Nintendo so I can play Mario, Zelda etc on a Sony console

3) A reduced industry wide focus on huge sandbox games.

1. Endless Ocean 3 PSVR.

2. Total memory loss of ever playing Planescape Torment so I can play it again.

3. Paper Mario TTYD HD released completely out of the blue on Christmas Day.

Yeah, backed Bloodstained, and got both games.

I've been wanting this for years, I always thought something like classic Resident was only possible with fixed cameras and tank controls... Resi 2 remake may be about to make me think otherwise.

We can have both! :-)

Weirdly just downloaded this on Switch the other day. Just finishing Okami and then I'm going to give it a go.

Do you mean The Way Remastered? A Way Out is the co-op prison escape game that is not on Switch

1 Next Gen I'd like a remaster package of all the Total War games which requires Mouse/Keyboard so it's just a graphical upgrade of all the games with proper controls.

2 Games to only be announced a maximum of 9 months before launch and no excuses.
strawberry float you Alan Wake and the 5 years I had to wait after pre-ordering a game I then bought and didn't bother playing :capnscotty: .

3 Next gen joypads need to be much more durable and loss prone to breaking.

Yeah, I definitely just confused the two. They want £50 for it on Amazon on PS4 at the moment. I don't think I've paid £50 for a game since the N64.

Looks like a reasonable price on PC so I'll see if I can grab it on there.

1. A licenced Jurassic park rpg, done in the style of Skyrim with an entire open world island to explore set during the aftermath of the first film. :datass:

2. A proper sequel to the soul reaver games, with a massive metroidvania gothic world to explore

3. A tomb raider game that returns to the roots of the very first game and has the levels be the star.

1) Fallout 3 is remade as Fallout 3 Ultimate for Switch. With legible text in portable mode.
2) Sony and Nintendo each allow you to play previous gen games in upgraded format... a la Xbox One X
3) I develop gaming skills to complete the games that I play!

Why is that, bud?

I’ve struggled with this. As much as I loved the game - it innovated so much! - it took the series in the wrong direction. If it didn’t exist... perhaps the series would have died. Then again, capcom (or someone else) might have made different changes. RE2 looks as though it might be the best of both worlds.

1. A new James Bond game. One that's not a straight FPS, features open-ended environments (like the recent Hitman) where you gather information on your target, hone in and, more than likely, have it escalate into an epic car chase or set-piece. I'd take a Bond 25 tie-in at least, although not made by Activision or EA - maybe Ubisoft instead.

2. An FPS set in a large city - think the size of Steelport from Saints Row, only deeper with a stronger focus on interiors - occupied by aliens several years after they invaded Earth. You'd be tasked with taking back the city bit by bit, as you explore vertically up ravaged office blocks, deep into crumbling, derelict subways etc., where they inhabit. The fun part in terms of combat is that you'll start out unarmed, but with a bevy of wildly varied alien weaponry/tech to take from and subsequently use against the invaders; more charismatic than Resistance, though still more 'realistic' than Ratchet & Clank, at least aesthetically.

3. Remakes of the first and/or second Max Payne games.

# Virtual Console to come back for Switch, with more N64 games
# Text chat is supported in all console online gaming, it may not be effective but I still want the option of doing so, god damn it
# Either Paper Mario TTYD remaster or Paper Mario 3 that's in same vain as Paper Mario 1&2 in terms of gameplay, humour and variety of characters.

1.) A Pokémon game where you travel through every region, with new regions being added as DLC alongside the standalone games. You can choose which region to start in, selecting a single starter Pokémon who will accompany you on your entire journy, each time you enter a new region the level of your starter Pokémon is lowered and the rest of your team has to be formed again from the local regions Pokémon. These would also include the battle frontier, the orange islands. You could also be given your own gym or your own spot on the elite 4 as champion, regulalrly being called away to defend your title.

2.) A Formula 1 game where you have a proper career. By this I mean you start in GP3 and progress to F2. In F2 you have a couple of ways to reach the pinnacle of Formula 1, you can either dominate the F2 season or lure sponsors in and become a pay driver. You could also attract the attention of a manufacturer, with them dictating your career for a set amount of seasons (terms set by contract negotiations). Once you're in the F1 seat you can have a ten season career (at most), throughout these 10 seasons other drivers can come and go (the older they get the higher % chance of them calling a day on their F1 career), this means other drivers from your GP3/F2 days could appear alongside you in F1, meaning a potential rivalry all the way through your career. This would mean drivers could freely move between other teams as well. After your racing career is over you'd then have the choice of either taking over a drivers career or manage an F1 team (or of you were really dedicated start managing a GP3 team before moving up).

3.) Pretty easy for this one, a complete remaster of Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic 2: Sith Lords (complete with the content which never made the initial game). Personally I still think these are 2 of the best Star Wars games they've made so would love to play them with up to date graphics. Failing this just a huge space game set in the Star Wars universe, you can choose from a handful of planets to start on and then you've got to make enough money to prosper on your planet or buy a ship to leave and explore the universe.

1. An Assassin's Creed reboot, or failing that, a similar type of third person historical romp, without the sci-fi bullshit. The series spans the ages, beginning in the Stone Age, taking players across antiquity, through the middle ages, the Renaissance and beyond. It'd be a huge IP, with stand-alone entries telling intimate tales swaddled in real events (the Muenster Rebellion, 1066 etc), and multi-game arcs taking in larger events across larger geographic areas (the Punic Wars, the Seven Years War, etc) and involving more epic stories - conspiracies, betrayal, etc.

2. A proper singleplayer seafaring adventure series, taking in the Caribbean, North American coast, Europe and the Mediterranean, as well as the waters off Asia (not necessarily all in one game). Players will take control of a fictional sailing family, rubbing shoulders with the great and the good via the navy, or the terrible and the bad through piracy, or a bit of both by way of Privateering and being a merchant. It would have branching stories and different conversation options more akin to New Vegas than Mass Effect or Fallout 4, a rough sort of morality system, full naval and ground combat, etc.

3. A new Dino Crisis game, set on an open world island, perhaps utilizing the Jurassic Park IP.

1) A Peach & Daisy RPG that breaks all known conventions about their characteristics and tropes. Like a buddy adventure game as they travel to other Kingdoms. Similar to Oddysey but more focused.

2) A Square Enix and GameFreak collaboration on a huge Pokemon game set in a more realistic, fantastical setting. Imagine the budget and team of a SE game being poured into the world of Pokemon.

3) A Golden Sun reboot being handled by either Monolith Soft or Level 5. I think both those studios have qualities that could help bring the series back in a huge way.

1. GTA: Britain – A massive open world crime game set in the UK and featuring either real cities or parody versions of the real cities.

2. Retro Console – A console backed by all the major publishers/console manufacturers that plays perfect versions of virtually all retro titles. Starting with Space War! all the way up to the PS1/N64/Saturn era. It would come with lots of games built in and have the ability for people to download virtually any other title that they want for a small fee (£1-£5) or make everything available for a monthly subscription.

3. Assassins Creed – I had another wish in mind, but I like Alvin’s idea and so am going to steal it. An AC game that spans the ages and the globe taking us from the dawn of history up to the Victorian age. No sci-fi animus bullshit, just a sprawing adventure that takes in the great moments of history and let’s you alter the world according to your actions and the assassination jobs you take. E.g. assassinating William the Bastard in 1065 would make the world of 1200 unrecognisable. Players could choose whether to be good/bad and whether they wanted to risk changing history or whether they fight to keep history the same as the one we know.
