First case done and very happy. The villain was incredible but one thing that really threw me was Rhol (spelling?) being the thief. I never for a moment thought he was actually a thief and so was annoyed that I had to say he was to forward the story. Then it felt like everything was gearing up for Phoenix to admit that, yeah, actually he wasn't a theif really. But turns out he was. I thought it worked in the end though and it all made sense. I just wondered if that bit confused anyone else in the same way. I think I was just using past experience of the series to try and second guess what I was actually supposed to be presenting.

I'm still not convinced either that these latest two games are nearly as good as the previous games so I'll need to revisit them soon for a fresh comparison.

Case 4 does not translate well. I don't think it could have been more Japanese if they tried.

Early Case 5- (Speculation) The Holy Mother is going to be Ami Fey isn't she? If Maya becomes queen I'm cool with it.

Game completed.

While case 5 is one of the best cases of the entire series I was disappointed at how little Maya was in this game. Apollo gets more story than she does. :dread:

There wasn't a single case where Phoenix and Maya go round investigating. :(

Finished. Loved it! It was basically Apollo Justice 2, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Case 5 Spoilers: I never, ever expected Apollo to get the final case. That was such a genuine surprise. The face off against Phoenix in court was exceptional too. I'm sad to see Polly go, but what a send off that was.

I give case 5 this much, it certainly has some me good twists.

I loved the new DLC case. I generally love the 'filler' trials as they tend to have more unique characters and settings with their own self contained plots. Also great to have Phoenix and Maya teaming up against Edgeworth again.

I'm guessing Athena will feature prominently in whatever comes next now that Apollo is abroad.

Avoiding the thread (haven't started it yet), but had to post this here:

Hopefully, it'd save me buying a Japanese 3DS.

The community manager has since deleted his "BUSTED!" tweet, and replaced it with a denial of any localisation.

This is true, and it's doubly disappointing because it's all but teased from the off.

Ending spoilers/question:

So the accusation parlour essentially went from "Amara is the only one who could have done it because the killer had to have been a spirit medium. Only her, Maya and Ga'ran can channel spirits and Ga'ran was in a channelling session elsewhere, while Maya was hostage" to "Actually, Ga'ran did it because her and Amara switched places. Oh and btw Ga'ran can't channel spirits"

I don't get it. What happened to it having to be a spirit mediu? How was Nayna spotted in the courtyard if Amara was busy channelling for someone? Who was channelling Ingra when he burst out of his house screaming?

It's taken me a long time to play this. Got it on release but only just finished case 4. I have to say, I'm not really a fan of courtroom only cases. I preferred the old format of investigation, court, investigation, court. Although I'm still really enjoying it, I don't think the two latest games have been anything like the quality of the original trilogy. There's far too much hand holding and pushing the player in the right direction.

Haven't played the latest one yet, I actually forgot it existed.......

I definitely thought the second game was pretty mediocre apart from a stellar last case. I think Dual Destinies was better than that one.

But yeah, 1st game and 3rd are amazing. I keep meaning to go back and replay Trials and Tribulations. Godot is the best.
