Bought. I was looking for it on the store earlier and all that was showing up was the Layton crossover. Still haven't played that actually.

Weirdly, I'm finding the menus a bit laggy on this, things like the options and dialogue history are a bit slow to load and navigate...plus I swear the frame rate dips when putting on 3D mode, it's giving me Pokémon battle flashbacks!

Super charming so far otherwise :)

Hey, are you fighting for justice?

You can download a free costume pack for buying the game during this first launch week. Further optional DLC will arrive throughout September.

Capcom wrote:It’s time to embark on a legal adventure with co-stars Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice is out now! All the courtroom drama is available today digitally on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99.

Those who purchase the game within the first week of release will be treated to a free character costume pack. The pack includes intimidating attire based on the loan shark Furio Tigre for Phoenix, a studious school uniform for Apollo, and an all-frills waitress costume from the series’ French restaurant Trés Bien for Athena. After September 14, the costume pack will be available to purchase for $0.99 / £0.89 / €0.99.

The courtroom adventures will continue throughout the month as new DLC is released every Thursday through the end of September. Players can look forward to the release of two short stories, each bundled with a unique pixel art Nintendo 3DS theme, followed by the release of a full-length extra episode titled “Turnabout Time Traveler.” Stay tuned in the coming weeks for additional case details!

9/15 – “Phoenix Wright: Asinine Attorney” short story and 3DS theme ($3.99 / £3.59 / €3.99)
9/22 – “Apollo Justice: Asinine Attorney” short story and 3DS theme ( $3.99 / £3.59 / €3.99)
9/29 – “Turnabout Time Traveler” full-length extra episode ($5.99 / £5.39 / €5.99)

Awesome news on the DLC :)

Ahah yeah it's pretty shocking eh? Didn't think it was possible for the series to have a more buffonish judge...

Just started case 2. This looks like the definition of a filler case. :(

Ahah aye, certainly the highest stakes of any opening case. Poor Phoenix, one does wonder how he copes with all the stress...

How long is the first case? I really wanna play this but go on holiday tomorrow morning so I don't want to start a case I can't finish it until I get back.

I've just come to accept that 2nd cases are generally filler.

A couple of hours. It feels longer than most first cases in the series.

It's annoying though. You go from the interesting final scenes from case 1 of Phoenix antagonising a foreign government minister who inexplicably speaks like a 30s Chicago gangster to an Apollo case on the other side of the world.

Maya better not just appear in the final case.

It feels like a stretch to call the second case filler, but it steps up in intensity pretty quickly anyway.

The first mini-episode came out today. Has anyone played it?

I'm saving the DLC for after I finish the main story, so I've not picked it up yet.

Making my way through Episode 3 now, having just finished the first day investigation. It was great, especially MAYA and THE THEME! I really liked how Episode 2 managed to be a follow on from Apollo Justice while still setting up more of the plot of this game too. It struck a good balance, but just left me with more questions! :o

Case 3- Rehl Nehmu may well be the worst name pun in the entire series. It's not even a pun.

The only DLC is a bunch of alternate costumes, or it was last I checked.

They're adding new DLC every week I think.
