Post3DS trade in question

I'm about to trade in my 3DS and games to help fund some next gen goodness. Problem is I can't find the original battery as I've replaced it with a Nyko extended battery, with its own fancy cradle. Does anyone know if this would cause an issue on trade in? I get the feeling somewhere like CEX might be fine with it, but GAME might turn it down :?

CeX are unlikely to take it if it's been modified in anyway.

At least, the store I worked at wouldn't have done.

Thanks for the info Minty. Still can't find the original battery anywhere!

Laga, you'll be pleased to hear that I got all the games and 3DS out ready to pack up for trading having not played it for ages. Then I thought I'll have a quick go on it, over an hour of Castlevania demo later, plus there's Heros of Ruin, Mario 3D and Mariokart still to go through so I've decided to hang onto the little guy.

CEX apparently won't even take my brother's US 3DSXL he won from an arcade machine.

CEX stopped buying/selling import consoles when Nintendo and Sony started to threaten them and other independent retailers with lawsuits in the early 2000s.
