I'm going to get Geometry Wars 2, but what else should I look out for?

I want games that can be played by 3 or more players, and of course are good fun (will be playing with my kids so take that into account - i.e have to be suitable for them and something I want to play).

Go!

Worst "I have a girlfriend" post ever.

UNO UNO UNO
Castle Crashers (but might be a bit "rude" for your kids).
UNO UNO UNO
Teenage Mutant Ninja (Hero?) Turtles.

I wish. :( &

Think I'll just download a load of demos, I thought there would have been a good choice of multiplayer games but I guess that isn't really Live's target market.

Amazing how Kiran can even turn a thread like this into an anti-MS thread. ;)

Incidentally, how many games fitting the criteria would there be on PSN?

Its not anti MS at all, just that I thought there were loads of games on Live but there just aren't the ones I'm looking for.
Funny how PSN wasn't even mentioned but Eighthours can turn the thread into a Live vs PSN battle.

Anyway, you can lock this now, I've tried to cancel the order.

To be fair Eighty, it's a valid point. I'd love more local multiplayer games on Live Arcade, but it's all about the online multiplayer now. I wish they'd just hurry up and get Chu Chu Rocket out. :(

Ticket to Ride is great in 4-player. You should try out Roogoo and Puzzle Fighter as well.

N+ and Castle Crashers? Both are "violent" games, but it's not of the sort to warp young minds.

Both are great fun in multiplayer, though N+ can be more than a little tough.

UNO Rush (The other UNO is better, but this can be played multiplayer on one screen)
Carcassonne (Turn based strategy type thing, pretty good)
Castle Crashers
Undertow (Sidescrolling Battlefield type game)
Worms (Although the newer version is on the way)
Rez HD (It's multiplayer if other people don't mind using vibrating controllers  )
NHL 3on3 (It hilarious, although I always tend to hack players down as I can't see the puck)
Bomberman LIVE
Dash of Destruction (Free)

MARBLE BLAST ULTRA!

It's not a 3 player but you can all take in turns at playing it.

As mentioned earlier, I've cancelled the order. I'll buy some points again when I know what to spend them on.

I like the sound of "free" though! There are free games on Live? :o

Yup! Carcassonne and Undertow were also free for a limited time.

If you create an American Live account, then you can also download Aegis Wing which is a free, sidescrolling space shooter. Up to 4 players on one console, well worth the effort of creating an Alt Account!

Best arcade games I can think of for 3+ players are:

Bomberman Live
NHL 3 on 3
Worms
The cartoony one that's a bit like Smash Bros with guns - forget it's name but it's in the discounted section now
Castle Crashers
Doom (maybe not for kids though I guess but think it has 4 player split screen)

Golden Axe is also three player, though its a bit dated compared to something like castle crashers it's pretty cheap. (400 Microsoft points I think)

On the subject of 4200 points cards. What's the most recommended content? I was thinking about getting both the Fallout and Fable DLC if it's worth it but am not sure what to get otherwise, or indeed, instead of that if it's no good....
