Got that for Christmas with OoT, I think. It sucked real bad.

Red Steel has got to be in there, a really big dissapointment after NGamer's glowing review.

They regressed the gameplay and design philosophy back to the 2D games. To me that's plateauing.

Not in Galaxy they didn't.

Assassin's Creed 1 bored me to tears at times, it was a real struggle to get through it.

8 is an underscoring of the game by three or four points(if we're on about rating out of 10 that is).

You don't need to reply to this Hugo, but Perfect Dark is the third best game ever made. UNDENIABLE HISTORICAL FACT.

Perfect Dark is one of the best games ever made, no way can it be put in with all that rubbish, insane.

Skyward Sword IS ovverrated. It's not a 10/10 game. Should have gotten 9's instead. It's got too many problems for a 10.

Anyone remember 64 Magazine? Different to N64 Magazine. I remember they used to lower scores over time. :lol:

It was so strange. A game would get 95 and a year later it would be down to 90 in the directory at the back of the magazine.

I think scores getting lower over time makes sense. Imagine if Goldeneye (as good as it is) was released as a brand new game now. It wouldn't score anywhere near as highly as when it was released.

Whereas if Super Mario World was released now it would still get stellar reviews as it's arguably the best 2D platformer ever made.

Some games simply age better that others and rightfully retain their high scores, some age very poorly and without rose tinted goggles their score should reflect this.

I was disappointed by the online multiplayer and repetitive singleplayer.

LA Noire's biggest failing was that it was boring as gooseberry fool. Never got out of first gear the whole time. An utter chore to play.

But also confusing as strawberry float, especially in the later levers. strawberry floating things were huge.

Sometimes you need to go backwards so you can go forwards. Part of Nintendo's genius is that it's not afraid to make wholesale changes even when it's had a success.
