A lot of the time I have the same meal for lunch and dinner, every day. :slol:

A single lonely person I often have dinner from the night before for lunch.

So many things (Chicken Breasts, Chops, Fillets of Fish) etc come in twos.

I remember first time I saw single chicken breast fillets in Sainsbury's, made me sad for all the single people out there

Brought up on 7 dinners a week and it's now the reason why I'm not a fan of a Sunday roast.

I like cooking so generally try out at least one new recipe each week and if we enjoy it I'll make it more regularly. Having said that, I've been making a lot of chilli in recent months and just can't get enough of the stuff.

7 dinners?! Fancy mr bigshot eh. I flit between chicken kievs with pasta and oven pizzas these days /:

Tbh despite being a big fatty during summer it's normal Salad + Something (meat/fish). with leftovers for tomorrow's lunch and in winter it's steamed veg + something (meat/fish), with left overs for tomorrow's lunch.

Got about 15 variations for each as the mood takes me.

I always get annoyed at burger baps. I can never seem to get packets with 2 in them.

Weird thing to be annoyed by.

Same, it's always 4, 6 or 12. I usually freeze the ones I'm not going to use right away.

Sainsbury's do them under the Taste The Difference banner, along with hot dog rolls. Though they're all fancy and made of brioche. And they're £1.40.

Too expensive. I'm totally povvo.

I have found recently it's worth going late in the evening to Sainsburys and Marks and Spencer in particular. So many things are yellow stickered and usually half price or less because it's got the day's date.

Tbh if I can be fussed to go to butcher or fish monger nearby you can get loads of stuff for one (so alone). (Or at Sainsburys counter etc)

It's just I'm a lazy berk who wants everything delivered.

I guess it depends on money. If you have Jackshit or have made your kids fussy by being a plank then it could happen easily to meet your budget or shut them up.

I make my Rota of 2 weeks for the shop and it has a few repeats and came get a bit same at times but the same thing every week would be all kinds of gooseberry fool.

As long as you can cook basic stuff it should be fine but for many that is a step too far. A microwave or heat stuff is there limit.

Ha, 7 meals is one fancy rotation. I live on about 5.

This is pretty much me, I've been eating the same sainsbury's sandwich for lunch every day for the last month. I tend to switch meals between curry, chilli and pasta. I do mix up the ingredients a bit. Also Google has just lunched a restaurant suggestion service.

For just lunches, or do they recommend dinner too?

I think I meant to write launched but was hungry.

I can't be arsed preparing 7 different meals every week. Usually we try to make things that'll last at least 2 nights, if not 3 - beef stroganoff, pasta, bratwurst stew, risotto, pizza etc.

We don't have them in a particular rotation, and if we have too much of one thing we'll leave off having it for a month or two or more and wheel out something we've not had in a while - lasagna, fried chicken, etc.

SEVEN?! LOL. Try one "go to" meal, with variety thrown in once a week/every 2 weeks. But then I now look at food very differently to how I used to; it's all about the nutrition it provides as opposed to omg tasty! Same goes for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
