Dev should have ditched either PS4 or XB1 version and opted for Switch release instead. Its player base is more receptive to the genre, and there's also the fact it has fewer games to compete against. If that remains the case for a while yet, then I expect it to end up on Switch anyway. With or without N's encouragement.
The old cel shaded look looks much better than this new... Dreamcast-era 3D Mii models with no textures... (maybe its the lighting idk, remember watching alpha videos of this years ago and thinking it looked way nicer)_
Goddamn, I love the look of this so much...but I utterly hate that it still features JonTron as a voice and that the devs have said nothing on that. They've had months to at least state they don't share the views of a wildly racist scumbag that's featured in their product :/
Let alone actually look into removing his voice or at least saying why it can't be done easily if that is the case.

Didn’t know that, this game can strawberry float off just like that banana split!
I didn't know about the whole JonTron thing. I had noticed his video output had almost ground to a halt and that all the other Normal Boots channels I follow like ProJared and PeanutButterGamer were no longer affiliated with him but thought nothing of it.

Without going into it, it was really bad. Though he only has a bit part in the game and so I would have played it, if not for the fact the dev chose to keep schtum saying neither one thing or the other. And so I'll be avoiding it.
I was the only one on the team who had the skills to create Snatcher in 3D. Snatcher was originally just a 2D sprite that was overlayed on the environment, but because of certain cutscenes he later had to be evolved into a full 3D animated mesh. However, this required shape key (also known as morph target) animation, something no one else on the team at the time knew how to do. I also created the pillow pile (the one you can "swim" in) in Hat Kid's spaceship, using a physics simulation. None of my colleagues knew how to do that either.
Yet despite all that, the company remained quiet after JonTron called people like me lazy welfare thieves that should be kept out of the gene pool. Not even a measly tweet saying they disagree with him.
Regardless of how much money they end up making, they're going to have to live with the consequences of this for years to come. They've now established an audience firmly within neo-Nazi and alt-right circles, and they'll have to constantly avoid offending that crowd in the future to stay in business. Best of luck with that, Gears for Breakfast.
JonTron's new voice role in the game is actually a character I rigged and animated. The character he voices was literally made possible by someone he thinks should be removed from the gene pool.
