This basically.
My wife is a teacher and has come across plenty of kids with really bizarre names over the years, there does seem to be a growing trend for "unique" and "quirky" naming of offspring these days. Obsidian was a recent one. And there was a kid a few years back who was called Chloe but her parents either didn't understand how it was pronounced or were just trying to be odd as they pronounced it as ch-low.
Another thing becoming common these days is for a theme to run through the naming of siblings - similar to the who Kardashians all starting with K nonsense, lots of parents seem to be going for either similar sounding names or names from a related topic - flowers (Rose, Violet, Lily etc.), musical (Melody, Harmony etc.). There was one family at a previous school with three kids - Harvey, Harrison and Harriet. I like the letter H as much as the next person but wouldn't you prefer a bit more variety?
