Just finished this up, after taking a lot longer than usual. Loved pretty much every minute of it, and it had a lot of moments similar to the old games that I was worried might be missing without Takumi running things. There is definitely a different style, but its good to know that the series appears to be in great hands moving forward.

And Apollo was THE BEST.

Finished case 3 tonight. Thought it was the weakest so far to be honest. The story and the mystery was great as always but it suffered a little from some of the usual Ace Attorney issues.

I'm struggling to finish case 3. Trying to remind myself case 3 in an Ace Attorney game is always the worst but it's a slog.

Got to that earlier today. Brilliant.

My first thought, even before the finger prints were examined, was that the lighter is going to turn out to be fake evidence. But we'll see. Definitely seems like Aura has framed Athena though as her testimony stitches her up perfectly. I can't wait to see how the story all ties together in case 5.

Case 4 was super great though, even if it was a little easy to work stuff out. Case 3 is definitely this game's weak case.

Case 3 is always the weak case.

Saw this thread appear and decided to give this a look in. To my surprise there was a demo, wow they have really nailed going from 2D to 3D with the character models, haven't they?

So question, I've only really played the first one. Does this contain many references to past games?

It refers more to the fourth game than any of the others but not to a large degree. I still wouldn't recommend playing it before the 3rd game which is the best of the entire series.

The second game is pretty average apart from the last case. 1 and 3 are balls awesome, with 3 being the best.

I feel that 3 gets some of its quality from the set up in 1 and 2 hence why I'd recommend that newcomers play them all.

Yeah you definitely need to play PW2 before 3.

I've just finished the 2nd case of Apollo Justice. So far its not nearly as good as the first three games.

Need to finish it and 5 before Layton vs Wright comes out.

You should play Ace Attorney: Investigations as well; it's my favourite game in the series.

It's on the to-do list too!
