This news pleases me.

I've been watching some of the Ace Attorney anime, which put me in the mood to finally buy Spirit of Justice. Bought on iPad. Would have been awesome if it had been available on Switch.

Nice, may get, shame Apollo isn't coming. Not because it's good or anything. I started it on (3?)DS and I would rather restart on a big screen.

Oh, I wasn't having a dig at Apollo. I can't speak of its quality.

Is about time these games were made more readily available on more platforms. Lovely to think more folks will get to discover this amazing series

It's never a shame that Apollo Justice isn't getting released somewhere.

I’ll pick these up on Switch and finally play through them!

Really hope Capcom do a HD re-release of Ghost Trick as well, that was a superb game

Little irritated about this announcement to be honest. The original trilogy’s been around on mobile for donkeys’ years. Meanwhile Capcom has done a lousy job of releasing non-rehash games on Switch thus far, and this only rubs that in.

PS4 and X1 owners are better off without being able to play Apollo Justice. Cases 2 and 3 anyway.

My girlfriend recently bought a 3DS and I'd love to play them again.

Yes, and all of the Ace Attorney games are currently on sale in the 3DS eShop, Nick - the Trilogy is just £8.24 (down from £24.99) at the mo'!

Excellent, I looked on eBay and could find anything, was it download only?

Yeah, it is download-only. At that price it seems a bit of a steal.

She's bought a 2DS XL, she isn't much for my Switch as she finds it a bit clunky and loves the DS form factor.

Nintendo should take note

Yeah, I still like the portability of the 3DS/2DS. The Switch is great but, personally, I wouldn't take it out with me.

I think the way Iwata spoke about NX (Switch) as a platform before his passing makes me hopeful that we'll see all kinds of weird and wonderful form factors, including a foldable portable. There wouldn't be anything stopping it from being dockable or compatible with joycons.

Is there still going to be a Steam release of the original trilogy?

I could obviously revisit the DS versions via emulation but there's some serious graphical glitches when doing so which somewhat ruins the experience.
