I really can't choose which is better. Buddy may be the perfect dog in terms of faithfulness, but Blossom has unbelievable character, as emphasised in that first picture of her.

The Sonic way?

Naturally! I really should stop looking on that site. I'm planning in getting a dog (I have to as part of my uni course I'm starting next year) but sorting out reducing my work hours is taking longer than it should (bloody local authorities and red tape). She'll probably be gone by the time I'm in a position to adopt her...stupid RSPCA and their "rules" :(

I quite like Stan too

I'm studying canine psychology and behaviour as a distance learning course, next September I'm taking it up to degree level. It just a foundation degree (distance learning again). Each year you have to go to the university with your dog for two weeks to show you can apply what you're learning in a practical sense. Unfortunately the only dogs I have access to are my parents but it really isn't practical for me to use them for the course.

Same here :(

Although yes, its fine to choose one by its name, as someone already said you're doing a good deed :)

Banjo,

I just want to say your dogs is so cute, mate. I love Border Collie, my fav breed but also Boxer is a great dog, I would love to own one of them.

Turok,
