PostADR1FT - Steam, PS4 and XB1. Steam release 28/3

Just watching the vid it doesn't give much away and from the little I have read there will be no combat it's more an adventure game. I'm sure the video was deliberate in making you think Gravity the game.

It will be getting OR support for the pc version and if OR doesn't suck balls it may be worth getting for the space vistas (I may have to line a room with plastic sheeting and wear adult nappies as I'm sure something will let rip).

Just been on the 505 site and found some info.

ADR1FT is an immersive First Person Experience (FPX) that tells the story of an astronaut in peril. Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources, and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged emergency escape vehicle and safely return home.

Release is meant to be summer 2015.

“The Three One Zero team epitomizes the tremendous passion and creativity of independent game development,” said Ian Howe, president, 505 Games. “I’ve wanted to publish ADR1FT from the moment I first saw it at DICE; we’re looking forward to working with Three One Zero to deliver a bold new gaming experience to all types of players.”

Three One Zero is being led by founders Adam Orth on the creative side and Omar Aziz on the technology side. At its core, ADR1FT is an emotional journey through action, consequence and redemption. In the end, the player will be left to contemplate the parallels between the choices he makes within the game and the ones he makes in real life.

“I’m very happy to be partnering with 505 Games for ADR1FT” said Orth. “From the very beginning, Ian Howe and his team have passionately understood the game Omar and I are trying to make. They have empowered us with the freedom to explore and create something special with ADR1FT, both traditionally and with VR technology. It’s clear from games like Payday 2, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and some of their upcoming titles that 505 is not afraid to take chances and give gamers something fresh and new. That’s important to us. That’s what we’re all about. We’re excited to be part of that.”

Release date is the 28/3/2016 for Steam, no news on the console versions yet.

We should get some new news on this at E3. Roll on Vive is all I can say.

Seems some gameplay has been released. The more I watch the more I want the Vive to hurry up so I can play this stuff.

I'm getting PSVR at launch and this looks like it could be the game to blow my tiny mind.

I'm going to become a strawberry floating astronaut 8-) 8-) .

Then after that I'm going to crash a shitload in Driveclub as I can't drive :fp: .

 This is by... Adam Orth! That '1' in the place of the 'i' makes even more sense now. I honestly hope it's a good game, and brings him a lot of success, but I am now slightly less interested in it.

For those lucky enough not to know who Adam Orth is:

:slol: :fp: Oh yeah, he wrote all that while employed by MS as a creative director on the Xbox TV team. He later "resigned".

Apparently Driveclub is easier in VR as you can look into corners.

However that's offset by the fact that you're fearful of crashing in VR so it makes you drive a bit more carefully.

Scott Manley has done a nice 30 minute play through. It does look very nice.

Very disappointed by this game. I picked up the PS4 version on download today (obviously, the bog-standard 2D, not VR one). I keep running out of oxygen. It's not that I can't find any; it's just that the game insists on letting the canisters sail on past whilst I'm actively grabbing for them.

The signposting in the game (as in navigation) is terrible, too. It's vague to the point of being mendacious.

Dead three times so far and the reload times are ballachingly looooong. It's always fun to die because you just can't see where it is you're supposed to be going. Can't see me putting up with this kind of nonsense for much longer.

Right, back to Sword Coast Legends it is, then.

Okay, I haven't died once, I take my time and yes the location indicator can be an issue sometimes but careful orientation you get the gist of where to go.

I find the best way to get the oxy is to line up from a distance when outside, when inside I will just waste air to slow down as you can get it all back.

Looks really good. Another walking simulator (or floating simulator!) but 16 bat is too much for me.
