Why does Finn have a robotic arm now? I've only really seen the earlier episodes when the voice actor was still a kid but I dislike when fun comedy series try to add in serious drama with over-arcing tales of toil and strife, which I'm assuming is something Finn's metal arm is the result of.

Adventure Time Wiki wrote:...In "Escape from the Citadel," Finn's right arm is actually torn off, and then coated by the blood of a Citadel Guardian, which grows a small flower. He later got his arm back in the episode, "Breezy," where the flower stub matured into a tree and broke away like a cocoon, revealing a new limb, with a green thorn protruding from the palm. This thorn was later revealed in "The Comet" to be part of the Grass Sword sticking out from his skin, as his new arm was made of grass.

In "Reboot," Finn's Grass Sword detached from his arm and fused with the Finn Sword which combined into Fern. Because of this, Finn is an amputee again. However this time there is no flower growing out of where his arm should be and as of "Two Swords" Finn has a mechanical arm...

Riiight. Like I say, I much prefer comedies of this ilk to stick to having a standalone story each episode.

I'm the opposite, I like that there's some continuity in the show. The problem I've got is that I'm not sure Cartoon Network show it in order. Certainly at least the series link I've got set up seems to just be a mess to follow, so my experience of the show has been quite disjointed.

To be fair there's like 300 episodes of Adventure Time, there's gonna be some continuity.

My favourite episodes are the more stand-alone ones to be honest, but I can see why the show needs a story & character development to move forward and stay fresh over 10 seasons, and I can only think of a couple of arcs which are more-melodramatic-than-funny (Flame Princess ughhhh).

Having watched all the episodes in the last few days I can say that the story stuff is great. I really like it, but like I said Steven Universe is a better show.

jawafour, in the Currently Playing thread, wrote:Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion on Switch is a decent game at it's core; a simple RPG that captures the spirit of AT. But, good grief, the loading times! I don't know if it's decompressing game data on the fly or something, but it is a bit frustrating. I like AT and so I can kinda overlook it but, man, I hope that a "go faster" patch arrives.

And now I've got some sorta lock-up. I arrived at the Evil Forest and won the first battle... but the game has just stopped. No victory message, but the music is still playing and the camera is panning around. Guess I'll have to shut down the game.

Edit: Yeah, re-started, did the battle again and all was well. Bumped into Peppermint Butler, did an interrogation and am now back on the trail to find Princess Bubblegum.
