His books use NLP techniques. I gave up smoking and used the book to help me stay off.
I dont know how this will work in practice on the DS but I think it is a genius development of how to use the console.

I read his book. Utter twadle. It obviously worked for him though, he died of lung cancer.

Your right Allen Carr did die of cancer. He ran a number of 'classes' for people who wanted to stop smoking. In those classes he allowed people to smoke, and they did. But being around smokers all the time inevitably affected his health.

Im sorry the book didnt work for you, of course it wont work for everyone its not a magic wand. But it has helped many thousands of people each who is an evangelist for this man's system. Even if he only stopped one person from smoking then he helped one family avoid the deep loss of losing a family member to cancer, and for that he should be sainted.

I'm sure if he was given the choice at the time, he would have taken the big bags of cash that were no doubt on offer instead.....

Err... not really. Smoking doesn't guarantee cancer, only increases the chances of it. And even then it's not guaranteed to be fatal.

Thank christ Aaron, someone who actually gets the point. Smoking may increase the risk of smoking, but it doesn't gaurentee it. My grandad smoked for around 70 years, and the year before he died he was scanned and he had the healthiest lungs the doctors had ever seen.

I don't smoke, but if people want to you can't stop them.

did your grandad actually inhale the smoke (take it down) or just put it in his mouth then blow it out again, if the latter then of course his lungs are fine, but theres still risk of mouth disease. And how long ago did they do that scan, if it was a decade or more ago i highly doubt the technology used to scan his lungs were accurate.

If u are talking about Alan Carr the comedian then he is also from near me too. In fact he went to same upper school as me although a few yrs ahead. But i was in fact in the same class as his idiot brother, think Alan Carr but also Ginger and (i repeat and) more annoying. Seriously.

However the cool thing is that his dad was the manager of the Cobblers and was actually a pretty good manager who got us promoted.
