Alan Wake was my second favourite game of last year, only behind Red Dead.

That sums it up pretty well. It was also a fantastic looking game at times.

I wouldn't say I'm jumping up and down at the thought of more A.Wake but it's Remedy so I'm interested.

Yeah same for me, it was samey but when the core mechanic was so snappy and well done I don't mind.

Good news more is on the way :)

Yeah, in uncharted you have guns. In Alan Wake you have a flashlight.

Nah, i didnt like alan wake. It was okay but nothing special. We had already seen games like uncharted and horrors like dead space. Nothing new.

Tell you what, I haven't played Halo much, but it just seems like Uncharted to me.

I have no issue with you disliking the game. Just stop comparing it to games it's nothing like.

The funny thing is that the game it's clearly most like is actually Max Payne... Which is no bad thing, considering how long it's been since we last saw one of those.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking that, if you're launching a new IP, multiformat should really be the way to go. Otherwise you're just losing potential audience.

There's quite a few PS3 specific games this gen I'd probably have loved to play, but couldn't. I might have been tempted to invest in a PS3 to buy a platform specific sequel, but not without the hook of playing the first.

It sort of is simular. They are both "movie" type games in a way. 3rd person, same type of basic gameplay, and both can get repetitive.

Well I'm pretty sure Microsoft funded Alan Wake, so Remedy didn't really have much say in its platform releases.

It is a shame they canceled the planned PC release, though.

Yeah and Zelda OOT is just like Mario 64. They both come in boxes and were both on the N64.

I hear Halo:Reach is like a 'not as good' version of Resistance.

I hear Sony's entire first party is a 'not as good' Halo 3.

Alan Wake: Night Springs will be an XBLA title?

An extremely trusted source has leaked to us that the upcoming Alan Wake: Night Springs will be an Xbox Live Arcade title and not a retail release. We have seen screen caps, but have been asked not to disclose them at this time. We have emailed Microsoft asking for a comment and will update as the situation develops.

We would like to point out that we announced the Gotham City Imposters XBLA game months ago, which was recently confirmed. We cannot confirm details about Alan Wake: Night Springs yet, but we expect an official announcement to come soon.

Hopefully it'll have mostly the same game and control structure as the original (but with improvements of course) and is a good 4-6hrs long :)
