I was. Looks every bit the kind of game I will enjoy and the production standard is amazingly high. Also loved the way Alan uses his flashlight in tandem with his shotgun and the way the enemies dissolve/explode into shards of light. Looks truly impressive. They've obviously not been wasting their time on this game...

Yes and no. The graphics are fantastic but the action seemed a little too gun heavy and Alan Wake's voice over didn't fit the mood at all so that bloke should be fired and replaced by me.

Looked more 'action' than the 'adventure' game I thought it would be.

Not that there is anything wrong with that. It basically looked like what RE5 should have been.

I thought it would be more heavy rain, than gears of war. But i'll reserve judgment until i have seen more.

More Alone in the Dark, than I was expecting. Not my cup of tea, but overall it was quite impressive, yes. Fantastic graphics.

I was really interested at first because it seemed more of an adventure game. However, as the demo went on it seemed this isn't the case, and it's quite heavily action based. As long as the story is good I'll purchase it. x

I assume it's still going to be a sandbox style game or at least you will be able to explore large parts of the environment outside of what will probably fairly linear gameplay sequences. I like the television episode style of telling the story too but I would like to know more details on how it's playing in 2009.

Id've liked to have seen more of the exploration bits, didn't get to see much, but the action parts look great.

Things that are different to "Walk around in the dark - use torch- shoot supernatural creature - shoot bigger 'Boss' supernatural creature".

EDIT: Fixed for Zellery.

They weren't zombies. They reacted and seemed weak to the light.

That slow motion flare part looked absolutely amazing.

Can't say I was too impressed. Looked gorgeous but the actually gameplay... they still using bullet time :fp: Jesus Christ. It'll be a good game but not AAA

On first impressions my biggest disappointment of the MS presser. Action looked rather derivative, almost last-gen. I was expecting something a little more nuanced given the previous trailers. And, what was up with the narrow-beam of the torchlight?

Didn't look anything special, nice graphics but the gameplay of torch shining and shooting was not what I was expecting.
