Opeth - Heritage

7/10

This was pretty good, surprisingly chilled at times. I'll definitely give it another go in the future.

Noise Unit - Decoder. Listened to the first two songs. I concur. So far so Wipeout. It makes me think of going to a club and buying speed, only to discover it is mostly talcum powder and baking soda.

I'm giving Noise Unit - Decoder a 4/10.

Nothing special. Just the usual bleepy bloopy industrial stuff. I never really got into that style of music. I think the closest I got was buying Front by Front by Front 242, but that was based on Headhunter being a strawberry floating amazing track.

Opeth - Heritage. I listened to that last night. I fell asleep. I don't think I was supposed to. The last thing I remember thinking was "Dear god, noooo!".

Some people like industrial, some people don't. To be fair to the album, it was more of a move towards contemporary techno than their previous two albums which were basically just another two Front Line Assembly albums. I saw Front 242 in 2008 I think it was and they were great. Right old bastards though

Well, I've listened to most of Heritage without falling asleep now. Not really my kinda thing, but it isn't as painful to listen to as I thought it was going to be. So far it is dancing to the tune of 4/10.

Just synced my ipod with itunes and it tells me that I have listened to it 4 times in its entirety, I have listened to the first 5 tracks 7 times. :fp:

I've got to stop listening to my ipod when I'm going to sleep

So Opeth gets 3 out of 10 from me. It would have been four, had I listened to it again, but I just couldn't face the prospect of it. I thought, I'll listen to those last few songs that I always seem to fall asleep to. But the mere thought brought on a cold sweat.

So a solid 3/10.
