I think that's everyone up to date. If you're unsure as to what you haven't reviewed yet, have a gander at the OP, it's all nice and organised. Shout up if I've missed one of yours. :)

Currently, the scores look like this...

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced (Pred) 8.0/10
Tennis - Cape Dory (Anung) 7.2/10
Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Weld (satriales) 7.0/10
Jean Baudin - Solace (The Crimson Clown) 5.7/10
Oh No Ono - Eggs (more heat than light) 5.6/10
Experimental Audio Research - The Koner Experiment (OnlyShallow) 5.4/10
Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien 5.4/10
Vactationer - Gone (Harman) 5.3/10
Coffinworm - When All Become None (<]:^D) 1.5/10

Interesting, no?

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced

While I'm quite partial to a bit of Hendrix I've only really listened to his most well known material, I've probably heard half the songs on this album before and like most of them, the rest are unknown to me but I still enjoyed hearing them.

8/10

Next up: Tennis - Cape Dory,

I have a feeling I won't like it.

Experimental Audio Research - The Koner Experiment 6/10

I quite liked it and will listen again, but it didn't stand out too much and so was just relaxing background music.

Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien: 6/10

I read Tomato's review before I listened to this and it made me laugh how right he was when he said it sounded like the menu music from a game. It's also pure guitar wankery which gets boring real fast. Saying that I still thought it was a pretty good listen.

Track Listing: Blue Mamba | Tarmac 23 | Esoterica of Abyssynia | Space Prophet Dogon | Shining Path | Flower | Cafe Batik | Radar | 1941 | Papa Lecba | Vinegar Stroke | Burial in the Sky

Its hard to track down on record as its out of print but i did manage to find it on youtube >

Sun City Girls - Torch of the Mystics

Not sure about spotify, etc so if anyone spots it (ahem) fire on the link please.

Rather bizarrely, I was doing a bit of research on Sir Richard Bishop just last night, as he is supporting Swans in London on the 15th.

Looks interesting.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Weld

6/10

I really don't know much Neil Young but I did recognise from tunes and they're all great. Don't like listening to new music through live performances so that drags it down a bit for me. I should listen to more Neil Young, this much is certain.

Tennis - Cape Dory

3/10

Too twee. Very shallow and forgettable.

Coffinworm - When All Became None

4/10

This would have been a lot more enjoyable without the vocals. Most of the songs are overly long too; I like longer songs but these just seem to go nowhere.

I don't see me rating this too highly so far :shifty:

I only managed to listen to the first couple of songs of that Tennis album before getting bored, will try to listen to the whole thing before rating it though.

Sun City Girls : Torch Of The Mystics

Man, this was a frustrating listen. I really enjoyed about half of it, and the other half was total bollocks. It was like they had a few good ideas, but couldn't sustain a whole album. It was a real shame, as I loved the sound of the album, and when it clicked it was brilliant, but too often it went back to the old widdly nonsense and odd vocals.

5/10.

Also, I listened to this on Youtube so I'm not sure of the track name, but where do I know the song that starts at 18:00 from? It was really familiar.

I'd been waiting for dmin's selection more than any other. So I finally got a chance to give this a proper listen today. I really liked it, just my thing, so it's getting an 8/10.

Well I seem to have fallen massively behind with this :fp: Going to try and get caught up soon, starting with Jimi Hendrix now...
