Probably a bit skewed when it's 5 years of plays vs 3 months of plays. But I wasn't overly offended by your charts, you get to live for now mwah.

(I can't wait to torture you guys if I get a pick)

Vacationer - Gone: 6/10

A bit too twee. Had some nice sounds, but didn't really make any kind of impression. Good As New is nice, but the sound is very 'Vampire Weekend' for me and I was never really into that kind of stuff.

Downloaded this last night to listen to on my ipod today. Was mildly annoyed when it wouldn't play. Not a good start. I have converted it into an ipod friendly format and will try again tomorrow.

However dmin and I share very similar tastes, so my sense of dread is building.

I agree with all the Vampire Weekend but less annoying comments. I quite enjoyed the first few songs, but I sort of lost interest towards the end of the album.

I'm probably gonna have to go with 5/10 for it, then.

Also, just checked my Last.fm music compatibility with JR: LOW 8-)

Vacationer - Gone: 6/10

Quite like a few of the albums last time out, I don't have any problem listening to the music but I just find it dull and not particularly amazing so only a 6/10 for me.

Vacationer - Gone 3/10.

I didn't like it. Not my cup of tea at all.

It's a catchy summer tune, there's nothing really wrong with it.

Just listened to this, very easy listening, as you said I can imagine this being good background music when the weather's nice.

Vacationer - Gone: 5/10

It was okay. I didn't mind listening to it but it wasn't particularly memorable.

Vactioner - Gone
It sounded like something I should love (little bit Orchids/East River Pipe like)...... but it just kind of washed over me. I will try it again though.
So far - 4 (but I will revise if necessary)

Vactioner - Gone 5/10

Definitely a very summer months type of album. I enjoyed a couple of the tracks though nothing else on the album really stuck with me. Still, it's always good to hear new music.

Updated to here. Excellent work so far guys, we only have eight people left to listen and review, so participation is so far much better than the last Album Club. Let's keep it up! :)

In other news, I enjoyed the Vactationer album so much I've actually purchased a copy for myself. First time I've ever done that, so cheers Harman for the recommendation. :D

Totally. I've never been into the whole download thing but I'm happy to stream it on Spotify or Grooveshark. Still buy all my records on CD though. :fp:

Not listened to the whole album yet but I can see why everyone is saying it sounds like Vampire Weekend. Bizarrely, I like Vampire Weekend. Unfortunately, I don't appear to like vapid, watered down Vampire Weekend rip offs. But I'll listen to the rest of it before I give my full and complete verdict on it.
