I picked this as I have an unhealthy obsession with everything Scandinavia at the moment. It's multi-layered, interesting and fun, although the vocalist may prove a point of contention. Enjoy!

I've listened to this. All the way through.

I would be more expansive but I am on my phone. It wasn't that bad actually. I liked "The Tea Party". The rest was reminiscent of The Beach Boys, mixed with the Beatles and some how the Cardiacs managed to find their way in there too. Which is a pity as I hate the Beatles and The Cardiacs.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Are You Experienced - 8/10

Tennis:Cape Dory - 5

Coffinworm: When All Became None - 1/10. Sorry, but I hate that shite vocals, please don't pick this ever again!

Neil Young & Crazy Horse: Weld - 6/10, again vocalist not to my taste. Music was decent enough for the most part. Did seem to drag with the 2 discs.

Oh No Ono: Eggs - Hmm think I'll go with 4 outta 10 some of the music was decent not my cup of tea tbh, but the vocalist was what? A dodgy chipmink? It was like an even more annoying and whiny than the Bee Gees. terrible.

After much consideration I am giving Oh No Ono Eggs a 4/10. A playful album that fires a lot of ideas out there. But ultimately it didn't quite come together for me. The only track that did was the afore mentioned Tea Party.

C'mon guys, more votes needed. Don't forget, the more you review, the better your chance of being next pick!

Oh No Ono - Eggs: 8/10

Dunno what it is about Scandinavian stuff but despite being a bit odd, I still find it great to listen to. Nice to have something that doesn't just sound like everything else to be honest. Also made me start listening to Kent again and probably the album I have enjoyed listening to most so far. You've done it again MHTL ;)

It's all gone a bit slow, hasn't it? Only three people are on all albums scored now, so it's just one from three. Random.org says 2, so that's OnlyShallow. :)

Decisions, decisions.... The albums so far have all been rather conventional. Now, do I continue that or do I shake it up a bit?

Ok, I'm going to shake it up.

What to choose though?

Ok, I've made a decision. I'm going for The Koner Experiment by Experimental Audio Research

Locating a copy of this has been a bit of a struggle, so I have had to upload my copy onto Grooveshark but it hasn't appeared yet. So mediafire is the only option... That and someone else has uploaded the whole album onto youtube. Links are below.

It isn't on lastFM or Spotify.

Mediafire Youtube

Now, this isn't exactly what you would call music, so I am expecting lots of 0/10. But I think the purpose of this thread is to push people's boundaries in what they listen to.

Edit: This was the least extreme of my choices :D

Gonna have a quick listen now, I've got fifteen minutes or so before I have to go out. Will listen to the whole album later.

EDIT - It's very ambient. I wouldn't call it non-music, but it's pretty slight. Slight-music, that's what I'm going for. Yes. Er, anyway, it's alright so far.

Yes it has, I'd like to apologise for my own lack of activity. I'll try get through a few this week.

Very interesting choice btw Shallow, intrigued to give it a listen.

Experimental Audio Research seems like a backronym to me. This irks me a little.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I've listened to some of the new album, but not all of it. Not liking it tbh. Then again, I don't like much

Oh No Ono, Eggs - 5/10
The singing grated but the music wasn't an unpleasurable experience, which was a relief after the Coffinworm album! Tis all just a bit too fey and indie though.

EAR up next then!

Experimental Audio Research : The Koner Experiment

So I managed to get through all of this. It's a difficult thing to review, I'll admit. You can certainly admire its technical skill, and there is a certain ambient lull to the whole thing which was quite soothing at times. But as an album? It was pretty boring. I can't say a derived an awful lot of pleasure from listening to it, and I can't say I'll ever have the inclination to listen to it again. Still, it was better than Coffinworm.

3/10.

Just out of interest, OS, what do you think of the album?
