Its amazing how some albums just make you feel happy for no real reason. This is one of those albums.

The Brand New album I got into least. Like it, but don't love it. Deja Entendu is where I get my Brand New fix (with a love for Your Favourite Weapons slightly teenage-cringe lyrics).

While Deja Entendu is probably their best, I do enjoy The Devil and God...perhaps the darkest album I have ever heard, well aside from some random Death metal cd.

Really? What examples of that are there?

Nice to see some Kyuss fans on here. I used to love getting stoned to them on a nice sunny day with a few beers. Those were the days.

I wouldn't say it's dark. It's rather downbeat and there's a lot of passion in the vocals. The Archers Bows is the only "upbeat" song on it, but yeah, I wouldn't it's particularly dark.

I've recently rediscovered Nirvana.

Also, some other albums I love but haven't heard for a while:

Image

Sasha - Airdrawndagger

How can you go wrong with song titles like Mr Tiddles and Wavy Gravy? Best album name ever too. Sounds like it should be a Namco coin-op, or something.

Image

Hybrid - Wider Angle

Still their best record. Maybe. Snyper is epic. I love the Live Angle bonus disc too.

Image

Electric Six - Fire

I've always made it clear I prefer the overall sound of newer E6, but there is something special about Fire. It's just balls to the wall, relentless rock. The most hedonistic album ever? I would call it my favourite debut album, but it's really just a best of The Wildbunch with a sprinkling of The Dirty Shame on top, re-released for the masses.
