They'll both be dirt cheap in a couple of months. so buy one, and trade for the other when you've finished it.

Still playing this and played about an hour or 2 of Evil Within and I'd happily suggest Alien out of the 2.

Proper scared of this.

I'm in the Med labs or something. Just grabbed a code and was about to find a physical copy. I'm now hiding in a closet.

Spent far too much time in that section sitting in lockers watching the Alien run about all over the shop :dread:

I'll be doing the same :dread:

Haven't played it since Monday but should have some free time over the weekend for some tense encounters.

Bought Last Survivor DLC on PS4. Couldn't resist at £2-odd even though I pirated the PC version to play the DLC on :fp:

Same, but they wouldn't have a problem anyway - they buy everything.

strawberry floating hell this is so frustrating. I've died about 15 times now on the same bit because the alien just randomly finds me and I've got no real way of avoiding it in the bit I'm in. Also I'm supposed to get to a certain room but it's not clear if the entrance is on the floor I'm on (meaning I have to go back through the whole bit I've just done) or go through a blank area (which didn't fill in when I used a map console). Either way the alien is now convieninetly fixated on the one room I end up in despite it not seeing me go in there or have any noise coming from it. I die EVERTIM and it sends me back a long way to my save. :simper:

Tldr strawberry float this I'm playing Guacamelee now

This is strawberry floating ridiculous :x

I lured the alien to one room with a sound thing, went up a vent right next to that room ( the only way through), climbed down on the other side and its stood there and killed me. Oh so it teleports now? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! :x

I've died about 40 times on this bit now, would be pissed right off if I'd paid money for it.

Got to what seemed like my objective, was hiding and the alien walks up a corridor, goes straight for the locker I'm hiding in and kills me. ARRRGGHGHHH :x

Funny how it always seems to hang around the one room you need to be in when it was previously roaming another area.

Bullshit.

The alien will never go straight for a locker unless it sees you get in. Otherwise it'll either ignore you, or lean in and listen for you. At that point you need to lean back and hold the left trigger to hold your breath (you'll be prompted), then slowly release them once it's far enough away. If it tries that again at the same locker, it'll probably suss you out and kill you anyway so you can't keep trying the same stuff. It will also be drawn to the noise of your motion tracker if its close enough.

It also has access to some vents and stuff that you don't, although that stuff is obviously smoke and mirrors. It will also hang around the areas you're in, so you can't for instance lead it to the other side of the station and creep away to peace and quiet. It'll turn up again.

It responds to noise, so clattering into things, attacking others, running or even walking if you're close enough will draw its attention.

Personally I only really had trouble in the med bay section, and it definitely gets easier after that. Even so I don't think I've died anything near 40 times on medium. You're either very unlucky or you're "doing it wrong". ;)
