Weren't Sega talking about legal action against Gearbox for breach of contract and diverting Sega money from Colonial Marines into Borderlands 2? Whatever happened with that?

TimeGate Studios lays-off entire staff – report
Sources close to Kotaku have told the site TimeGate Studios has laid its staff off today, and sent everyone home early.

In March the Aliens: Colonial Marines co-developer laid off a number of staff members and was hit with a $7.35 million lawsuit by SouthPeak Interactive.

Earlier this month, it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The firm has yet to respond to comments on the matter.

There was a report yesterday that this sold 1.3 million and was one of Sega's most successful games last fiscal year.

Truly depressing news. I'm as guilty as anyone of making it happen, since I was one of those who put my money on the table for the year's most disappointing videogame.

It seems very wrong that TmeGate have gone bankrupt (for mostly unrelated reasons, though) where as Gearbox can essentially chalk this up as a victory.

I won't be buying any of their games. Can't stand the thought of contributing to the ego of Randy Pitchford. It makes it worse that they're actually capable of producing good games but decided to crap this out.

More guilty than me, I didn't buy it, I don't think 1.3 million is that great for an alien game though. Had it been half decent I reckon they could have sold 10-15 million copies.
