They've not confirmed anything AFAIK - but I think that kind of thing is the general idea.

That's a shame - shitty Ben Reilly reveal and evil Black Cat aside I've been enjoying the direction they've taken Spider-Man in since Superior ended.

Spiderman it sounds like they might keep one book as it's been, and one "back to basics" (how they'll explain that different conflicting worlds I don't know)

Only just started to read the new Marvel Star Wars comics, and been extremely impressed with Star Wars, Darth Vader and the Lando mini series. So very excited to hear that they're going to be doing a new Vader series set between Revenge of the Sith and a New Hope. I think those periods between trilogies are probably the most exciting. There's only so much they can do set between any two single movies and have it make sense.

Memento Mori wrote:Pre-order War of Kings Aftermath omnibus back in November when it was £67. My order was dispatched a couple of days ago and I've just got an email saying I've been refunded.

They claim it was damaged during transit. Hmm. Coincidentally it's nearly doubled in price on Amazon since I bought it.

Yeah so if you've got an issue with Amazon always call up their customer services number, never do their online chat thing. When they told me my order had been cancelled without my permission, online chat just referred me to a third party seller who was selling the book slightly cheaper. I went with that as it was cheaper but the third party seller gave me the same line about their stock being damaged and I'd have to wait a few weeks.

Weeks pass and they still don't have stock but Amazon does at a higher price than what I originally paid. Called up Amazon customer service who agreed to refund me the price difference between the current price of the omnibus and what I originally pre-ordered it for. Amazon Prime means it will arrive tomorrow.

I have just looked at an issue of Previews and see DC comics have new numbers again. Has it been rebooted again since the Synder/Morrison run on Batman?

However Detective Comics has the original numbers?

No wonder I stick to Image stuff with all the DC/Marvel reboots.

Any folks in Glasgow area should get along to the Frank Quietly - Art of Comics exhibition at Kelvingrove Museum, only £7 and on until October 1st.

Huge collection of Superman, Batman, X-Men, Jupiters Legacy etc sketches, artworks, stories and even sections about folk he works closely with like Morrison and Millar. Thought I had a rough idea about the art process for comics, so much more detailed than I thought, the guys practically a genius putting all that together. Definitely going again before it finishes.

There hasn't been a reboot, some continuity (mostly Superman stuff) has been realigned as part of the ongoing Rebirth storyline. Action Comics and Detective Comics have kept their legacy numbering.

I've got zero interest in the event and none of the three Marvel books I buy have tie-ins anyway but the whole think sounds completely ridiculous. No idea what they are thinking with the promo stuff, and sites rebranding themselves with Hydra stuff is just plain silly

Saw on Twitter that Amazon are having a big sale on Marvel digital comics so picked up the first batch of the new Black Panther run for £1.40. I've never had a particularly big Marvel collection, paperbacks or digital, so was wondering which TPBs, recent and classic, I should consider?

As a benchmark I read the main Civil War TPB and thought it was trash.

Re-reading the entirety of The Walking Dead and, even though the prison arc is the best by far, it's insane how much better in quality it is than the TV show. If they'd copied the Negan story line as it is in the comics the last season of the TV show would've been really gripping. It's bizarre how much they strawberry floated it up when they already had a good story ready and waiting for them.
