Spoilers for today's X-Men #20.

Ha ha yes. Of course even though there is already a human spouse on Krakoa (Northstar's husband), there is no way the Quiet Council should allow this. Fun though it would be.

Picked up Human Target this morning :D

Human Target is great, just bare in mind the trade is only the first half of the story. The conclusion is out in trade in July.

Aye, noticed that. Would have been a lot cheaper anyway, getting the 2 TPBs, but I decided I couldn't wait. Local CBS ordered 4-12, and I picked up 1-3 on eBay.

Tom King excels at these miniseries spotlighting lesser known characters.

Gonna sub to Danger Street, and I'm picking up Riddler One Bad Day tomorrow.

Picked up Deadly Duo #1 and that new Hellboy. DD I got bc I used to LOVE Marc Silvestri's art when I was younger. Hellboy bc I've never read any. Wasn't impressed with either but I guess they are just early in to their runs.

I know Ennis can be incredibly edgy at times (Crossed and The Boys were too much), but his DC, Vertigo and war and western comics are a lot more readable.

For those that read/have read Hellboy, is the BPRD series worth picking up as well? Comixology have some of the collected editions on sale at the moment and wondered if they are worth reading as well?

I prefer BPRD to the solo Hellboy series to be honest.

Ta, I’ll pick up the first 3 BPRD Omnibus editions now and add them to my reading list using the above link.

I've been away from the comics scene for a long time now; my phase was the 90s.

A pal has returned to the hobby these past few years and, having (briefly) looked over some of his stuff, I'm amazed at how the market has seemingly changed. Some of the cover art looks fantastic but the aspect that really stands out is "variant covers"... it seems to be a big thing now? Do most comics have multiple editions?

Yeah, you do tend to get a lot of variant covers from different artists. Same content inside for the most part just a different artist on the cover.

Can any of the Free Comic Book Day 2023 books be downloaded digitally anywhere? Comixology/Amazon have the DC books but I can’t find the Marvel or any other publisher ones anywhere.
