I haven't, H - it looks good (albeit I've heard it's a bit tough?) though!

So far I've played the Playroom Astro Bot rescue level (ace!); the VR Worlds ocean dives (incred!); Polybius (great!) and Wipeout (amazing, but the first thing that's made me feel a little bit woozy!).

In the ocean dives, the way that you can move your head around and the light shines up the cage and surrounding things is amazing.

Gonna take a break now but... I'm hugely impressed.

God yes. Get Star Wars Battlefront. Not the most recent one, the one before it. You should be able to pick it up dirt cheap and it's worth it just for the X-Wing mission you can download.

Don't worry about Wipeout making you feel woozy. It's a very intense game in VR. Put all the comfort settings up full then slowly start turning them down as you get used to it. That should help.

You're only getting started Jawa. I wish I could recapture that first time with it as it was just amazing.

Batman Arkham VR is a must too when it's cheap. And consider getting Move controllers and Beat Saber! And and when you get Move controllers then Batman Arkham VR is a different experience all together than using just the DS4.

There's a few free ones to try off the PS Store (Stranger Things VR and Spider-Man Homecoming VR are utter crap though) look for one called Crow or The Crow, forgot what it's called exactly but it's supposed to be a brilliant little bit of VR storytelling and it's free too.

You just need a copy of it so you can play the following...

Yeah Robinson is a game that just...I couldn't handle for more than 10 minutes for some reason.

Jawa, I'm like you and fairly new to VR. My gf loves the ocean dive and I will get my daughter on it when she's next up. I enjoyed the Heist too on the disc.

Rush of Blood is great - move controllers recommended, my gf doesn't like scary things too much but always wants to have one more go.

Astrobot you've tried, the full game is great too.

I've just started Superhot and that, initially at least, is superb.

I've played Rush, which is getting decent reviews but need to go back to as my first feeling of sickness.

Tetris Effect is decent, not cheap tho.

It's nice to see that VR seems to be gaining traction; hopefully the recent deals on PSVR will enable more people to enjoy the format, too.

I got mixed up between Battlefront and Battlezone! I do have Battlefront so I'll look to download the VR mission; thanks for the heads-up! If I get the Move controllers then I'd love to try the Batman VR experience and that Superhot game looks intriguing, too.

Definitely no horror games for me, though; I can't handle them in standard format and VR versions would just freak me out  .

Superhot is probably my favourite vr game outside of driving sims. So good.

And yeah strawberry float anything scary in vr :dread: I don't tend to scare easily in games or films, but the feeling of something life sized coming for you is genuinely unsettling (even robots in budget cuts for example).

I realise I'm not going to convince either of you, but you are missing out on one of the best full on VR games available.

I'm really not a fan of horror as a genre either, lots of stuff I won't watch...but Resident Evil 7 is something else again. No doubting it is scary, but its also a big action game too.

It's not vr supported on pc for some stupid reason, which is annoying as CD keys regularly have it for sub £5 and I'd buy it at that price to try it at least wunce.

I second this, Resident Evil 7 in VR is brilliant, one of the best game experiences I've had. I highly recommend giving it a go to see how you get on with it, I'm not great with horror films or games either but I managed to get through it.

I just realised I should probably give it a go again soon as I've since upgraded to a Pro, and I've heard it makes a big difference to the graphics.

Doom VFR is much better if you don’t use teleporting control scheme and switch to free Walking style.

But I don’t know how havoc that would be on your motion sickness. It seems I’m immune to that. I suffer from Vertigo while looking down to a huge drop (Batman Arkham VR and The Last Guardian VR free demo is pretty bad for that.) but as long I don’t look down a long time I’m fine.

I've played the first stage of Astro Bot and the first stage of Rez Infinite.

 .

This is phenomenal. It's a giant step into a new way of playing.

Astro Bot, in particular, is astounding. The design of that first level is superb; the way that you are actually in the level and guiding AB around... just wow. You are looking around, perfectly naturally, in a 360-degree gameworld  . And when those arms appear unexpectedly... what a moment!

I know that I'm edging into hyperbole with my posts about PSVR, but it genuinely feels like it deserves it. I'm gonna have a go at Skyrim and Doom this evening. I am wondering if I'll need to change my pants :shifty: .

There's no Zealot like a convert. :D

Don't worry about it Jawa, you're excitement is justified.

I wish I could get that initial "Wow" factor back. I'm still constantly impressed by it, but now it's more about clever things the developers have done rather than "I'm in the world!"
