My favourite single-player VR game just got a sequel! Available now on the Quest store for £29.99, I will be picking it up asap.

It sounds like it is basically a continuation of the first game, which is no bad thing in my mind. Looks like there is more heavy/automatic weaponry to play with, which will undoubtedly be a lot of fun but could detract from the original experience.

This game turned out to be a bit of a buggy mess. Unsure if they might have patched it since I last played, as I've been off VR ever since injuring my ankle back in early January. I do still want to give it another go.

However, something I am considering right now is selling my Quest 2 to CEX. They're paying around £170 in cash for a 64GB model in B condition  feels insane that it has held on to so much of its value to this point.

Even now I am much more able to play again, I find I am still spending any gaming time on my Switch instead, as VR is so much effort now (I have to tidy up my son's play room, and I only have very limited windows of time in which to actually play anyway). Seems like a bit of a no-brainer if I can get £170 for it now that I can put towards the Quest 3, which is due in around seven months or so...

I really need to play The Room VR before I have to move my PC. Absolutely loved the mobile games and seems a perfect fit for VR.

Finally finished Resident Evil 4 VR. amazing experience. "Being" in some of the locations you have played through so many times over the past 20 years or so makes it worth it already, but the actual gameplay and thought put in to all the VR mechanics is absolutely excellent.

Probably the best most complete thing I have ever played in VR.

Looks like "Not For Broadcast" is now available on Quest 2 and PCVR. I loved the look of this when I saw a Giant Bomb quick look a couple of years ago (it was only on PC at that time in early access). Assuming this port is decent (limited reviews suggest it is) then I will be snapping it up immediately.

Also available on Xbox and possibly PlayStation (but seemingly not PSVR2)?

Bought The Room VR: A Dark Matter in the current Steam sale and it's very good. Exactly like the other The Room games in tone and atmosphere but actually being inside 'The Room' and solving the puzzles with your own hands is really cool and I definitely recommend it.

Did have to use a few hints in chapter 3 but it was mainly because I kept failing to spot interactable levers that were staring me in the face. Probably no one's fault but my own

The Room is a perfect game for VR, I loved it.

Actually, I think I might still have the final chapter to play, must get back to it while the weather is still cool.

I highly recommend it. Finished it tonight and thought it was superb. The chapter in the witch's cottage is extremely cool.

Started Wraith: The Oblivion afterwards and it seems a bit naff so far. Will give it more of a chance but I might start The Talos Principle instead. Hell, I might even buy another game similar to The Room as I noticed there are a few in the current Steam sale. Something like I Expect You To Die?

You weren't lying!

I've survived the missions 1-3 and have 100%ed the first. What an incredibly fun little game. Took me a while to realise I could just move my head to dodge the laser. Such a simple thing but I'm still so used to being locked in place when something like that happens in a game!

That intro was incredible! :o

I think mission three has been my favourite so far but they've all been great fun. How is the sequel?

Started I Expect You To Die 2 this afternoon and got through the first two missions. I absolutely love it. It's more of the same but the controls feel better, slightly more responsive, and the graphics are better looking. Wil Wheaton is doing an awesome job of playing a spoofy villain as well.

Had a chance to finally play with the Quest 2 today and I was quite impressed, especially by the hand tracking.

It’s put me in the mood to get something myself but I know I won’t use it that much. I can get a PSVR1 from Cex for £40 for my PS4 and I was wondering how it compares? I know the resolution probably isn’t as good but what about the field of view?

I’m honestly only interested in getting it to play games I already own like Tetris Effect, Rez Infinite, WipEout and maybe I’ll buy Astrobot?

The resolution and FOV is fine, its the awful tracking that ruins it. for £40 it's a no brainer though - Tetris, Rez and Wipeout are largely unaffected by the tracking problems and do not need move controllers. I found Astro to cause more issues, but it's still an essential play (and again does not require the over priced and horribly out of date move controllers).

It's still the most comfortable head set in the land.

Forty wraps? That's incredible!

PSVR is obvs a few years old now but stuff such as Astro Bot, Moss, Statik, Batman, Polybius and Skyrim remain so impressive.

I haven't played a PSVR myself, but one of my friends used my Quest 2 a while ago and his reaction was, in a nutshell:

"I thought VR was awful because PSVR is so bad, but this thing blows it out of the water and has completely changed my mind!"

Sorry to offer a counter view and dampen the enthusiasm :slol: but I thought it would be worth knowing. Perhaps if you had gone straight to it, you could have enjoyed what it has to offer. I worry that now you've experienced the Quest 2, PSVR will feel like a huge step backwards.

On the other hand, if you're not struggling for money then £40 is essentially nothing, so what's the worst that could happen?

I'll spoiler my half joking but also half serious suggestion:

Go all out and get the Quest 3 when it is released in 2-3 months. It's going to be flippin' brilliant.

Remember it needs a camera to work too, so check that's included.

Worth it just to play astrobot!
