Viveport is currently doing a fantastic offer for subscribers:

Arizona Sunshine, super hot VR, Accounting +, Sairento and The wizards for £1 each

Even better, the offer is still valid if you sign up for their free trial, so I only paid a few quid for those brilliant games.

AND if you sign up for the free trial now you'll get £8 credit on the 20th, making the above effectively free :toot:

I also had an email from them saying if you paid the minimum subscription amount, you'd get a fallout 4 vr steam key for free.

Thinking of getting a Vive Pro.
Is there any reason not to?

Will also grab the wireless adapter when it's back in stock.

Richard UK alt?

Cost over the existing vive would be the only real stopping point for me. That and the aesthetics, but the screen is supposed to be a bit better.

Gave Tetris Effect a go last night in VR, strawberry floating mesmerising. Proper gooseberry fool at Tetris though as it's something I was never into in the past so seeing my high score of about 10k for the first section and noticing Jiggles was over 200k on the leaderboard means I better git gud.

Probably didn't help my first try of it was right before bed when I was absolutely shattered after a PUBG sesh /datexcuse

Like a strawberry floating zombie in work today :dread:

And even though I didn't try in 2D mode it definitely won't be anywhere near as good an experience as it is in VR.

So Astrobot is every bit as fantastic as people were saying. Phenomenal wee game. Only done the first world but still got a couple of bits to go back for.

Oh it really is fantastic and just gets better and better. It's really criminal if you own a PSVR and not own Astro Bot.

If you own a PS4 and have any interest at all in VR then you can currently get it with VR Worlds and Astro Bot for just under £170, that's everything you need as well.

The games are worth £35 the camera is £40. That's a VR headset for under £100.

I see the Oculus Rift Development Kit V2 is available at CEX for £85. I don't know very much about VR - is that any good for playing games on Steam? What's the difference between this one and the ones that are on sale pre-owned for £200?

Extremely limited tracking volume, no motion controllers, very little support for it in games.

Don't buy that, as it says it's a dev version and is inferior to the release version, plus it's incompatible with a lot of current software.

Thanks for the advice! Knew there must be a catch at that price but people on Steam forums were saying they'd got it working.

Cracking deal and makes me wish I held off a few months purchasing. A few games need the move controllers too which aren't cheap. I had one from my PS3, but my other the battery has packed up in. Bleeding pain.

What games would you recommended for the PSVR?

I have Astrobot, Tetris Effect, Hustle Kings and I do own Moss but haven't played it yet. Rush of Blood is on the way.

How long you been a Plus subscriber? Might be worth checking your library for any added via the monthly Plus games before you got the PSVR. Games to get..

Resident Evil 7
Batman Arkham VR (currently £7.99 on PS Store)
Driveclub VR if it ever goes cheap again
Firewall if you have an Aim controller and enjoy COD (though obviously different to COD and also on sale on PS Store)
Thumper

Skyrim is revelatory in VR. Easily the definitive version of the game for me, even with the reduced graphical fidelity it requires. It's on sale at the moment as well I believe (£20).

Go through the PS Store and find every bit of free VR content you can. There's some pretty decent stuff in there. I'd definitely suggest the two PSVR Demo "Discs".

VR Worlds is decent too and I tend to use that as my "Here, check this out" game for showing the system off to people new to VR. Ocean Descent is perfect for it as it's not fast paced and gives most people a decent wee "thrill" without being too scary or complicated.

I really cannot recommend the Move Controllers enough though. It fundamentally changes how you interact with a lot of these games and it is worth the cost for the enhanced immersion you get.

Oh and SuperHot VR is essential if you have the move controllers.

That one as well, but using the Move controllers.

Was trying to remember what I had on the bus :x

Statik is excellent and currently on sale (£6.49).

If you don't already have it, buy a cheap copy of Battlefront (you should be able to pick up a cheap 2nd hand copy for £2) and get the free Rogue One X-Wing VR Mission, granted its only a 20 minute mission, but its well worth having.

Rez Infinite is still my favourite VR game.

Farpoint (with Aim controller), the game itself is pretty basic, but the controller makes it an essential VR experience. Play standing up with the second analogue turned off and physically turn to turn your character.

Doom VFR, also supports the Aim controller, but not really designed for it. Still a good FPS VR experience.

Probably not on many other peoples list, but if you like an old school shooter then Polybius has VR support and is very trippy and pretty damn awesome.

RE7, Thumper, Skyrim VR and probably The Persistence and Firewall Zero Hour (another AIM controller game) as well.

Thanks all

Got Persistance, Statik, Thumper and Firewall.

Want to get Wipeout eventually. Polybius when i went througb the store said not available last time I looked.

Like the fact when playing hustle kings you can get right down on a shot to line it up. Now on World 4 of Astrobot so enjoying that. Tried Here They Lie but not sure what to make of it.
