Had a sneaky go of Driveclub VR this morning before work and plays fine with the pad, could imagine it to be amazing though with a proper wheel and peddles. Also Resident Evil 7 in VR :dread: better keep a clean pair of bills around handy when playing that.

Driveclub VR is great.
I know it's sad but I love doing time trials in an open top track car as it's just relaxing and I can get into a nice rhythm.

Time trailing is my favourite part of sun racing. Pick a car, track and spend a few hours lapping.

Anyone getting Firewall Zero Hour next week? Going to try and nab it from Sainsbury's Argos near work on Wednesday unless shopto or somewhere online are doing it cheaper for the aim bundle.

Doom VFR, yay or nay on PSVR?

Had my first major case of motion sickness last night playing Robinson. Didn't help that I ate a pizza before playing it but just wanted to spew my ring up and lasted about an hour and a half

Doom VFR is good. I played with the AIM controller and its not really designed for it, but it is definitely worth playing. Not a massive game, but certainly enough content to justify the price.

Robinson is one of the worst games I've played for motion sickness personally, couldn't get on with it.

Well Doom is £9.99 so that was an easy decision anyway. Need to get another Move controller as I've found the 1 I had from my PS3 and I take it most that require/use move won't work with just the 1. Might jump a bus to CeX tomorrow as they have them for £22.

I did set all the controls to free/smooth in Robinson which probably didn't help with the sickness.

Wow, that difference using Move controllers with Batman Arkham VR. The Riddler target mini game in the Batcave can strawberry float right off though, highest score I got was 2 :fp: need to try that one standing up rather than using the sitting down config.

Bought Thumper this morning, guessing if I enjoyed Rez I'll enjoy that too, right? Guessing they are similar rhythm style games and was only £5 on the store.

And picking up Firewall Zero Hour tomorrow from Game, who only had 4 Aim bundled copies in stock for tomorrow :slol:

Just Superhot and Wipeout to get when they are in a sale which I'm sure they will be at some point. Out of curiosity is it better to have the camera higher up (on my TV on the wall would be 6-6 1/2 foot high) or lower down? I've been using mine sat next to the PlayStation so is only about 3 foot from the ground.

Most people believe that it's best to have the camera set up so it is a bit above head height.
I have mine at about 5ft which is great when sitting down, and when I need a larger fov for standing games such as super hot I move it about 2 ft higher using a 3m command strip.

Not really the same at all. Thumper is a definite rhythm action game, its a great game and I'd recommend it to people even without VR, but VR definitely adds to the experience.

Now it's cooled off enough, I had a proper session on my Vive and driving setup this afternoon.

Assetto Corsa - the vr implementation is serviceable at best (all menu selection must be done on the monitor with the mouse and only when you press go do you switch to the headset :? ) but it's worth it as the driving model is sublime, you can really really push and be consistent. Even better still is that pc being pc, you have mods, and someone has ported some clasic gran turismo tracks over, so I spent a few hours hammering round autumn ring mini in and racing against 1970s Ferrari f1 cars :datass:

Sitting in my chair, with the wheel, volume cranked up on the headphones, it's so easy to get totally immersed in it. Side by side racing through half a lap, diving for overtakes, banging wheels, gathering up mistakes. Absolutely fantastic and on another level to just playing the same game on a monitor.

Vr

Has a quick go on Firewall Zero Hour (PSVR) only on training missions mind but so far I'm loving it and with the Aim controller it's cool as strawberry float bringing it up to your head to actually look through your weapons sights.

Had a good few games of Firewall last night properly for the first time. The games can be short but damn is it good.

It's great isn't it? I thought I'd jump in as soon as possible because games like this have a habit of dying off quickly.

Hopefully they'll patch in some extra game modes or at least expand Contracts into 3 or 5 rounds per match, it does get a bit tedious standing around in the menu.

That looks pretty cool, like a vr ghost recon :datass:

Why is there so much CA going on in the video? Is that an in game effect or is it inherent in the games? (I don't have psvr).
