Except he's above target for a year 8 kid.
I know loads of people who were hitting 7s in Year 8.
I'm only being a dick about it because this thread is about stroking his throbbing (prepubescent) cock about it. If he had casually mentioned it in the Chat Room thread or something I'd have congratulated him on being above target, but since he obviously thinks he's achieved something huge that the whole forum needs to know about I think I'll continue to patronise him until he never wants to post here again.
As do and did I. But as I can deduce that you're probably not a moron, I'm guessing that most of your friends are pretty smart too. However, the logic doesn't follow that thus any achievement less than your collective efforts is thus unworthy.
For instance, if I was to have dinner with my housemates and girlfriend, I would be dining with a qualified, practising dentist, an Oxford graduate currently studying for a PhD in maths, a qualified science teacher on his way to head of department and...ahem...me. Unsurprisingly, most of our friends are all university graduates. Would it thus be right for us to sit around and criticise someone who has just been accepted into one of the smaller universities, and is the only person in his year and/or family to have achieved as such? Of course not. Cap'n Essex obviously deems his achivement to be worth something, and if a 6.5 is actually the highest grade achieved by his year then we're obviously not talking about the luckiest area in the world to be at school thus anyone who wants to take a bit of pride in their work should be recognised.
