New customers means if you do not have a current sub, annoyingly I accepted a free month of prime last week, which means I cant take advantage of this, as I have a current sub............ :fp:

Though it has given me a free copy of This War of mine on steam, as with Amazon prime, your twitch account becomes premium, and that is an offer on there

I've caved and bought in for £59. I've paid for delivery a fair few times during the year so hopefully this will be worthwhile for £59.

Yes?

The thing I get the most value from aside from free delivery is Prime Music. Also, if you've got a Kindle then it's worth taking the no rush delivery option for the £1 credit against digital purchases

I don't even know what Prime music is, I assume some kind of streaming service? I will watch series 2 of Mr Robot and probably The Grand Tour so I should get my money's worth.

Yeah, Amazon have 2 streaming music services. Music unlimited is the Spotify alternative and that costs x amount per month. Prime music is a cut down version of that with less content (around a million songs) and is included in the Prime sub. Its worth checking out and the mobile app is pretty decent.

How many users can access it? I'm not fussed about it but I think my kids would like it.

Not sure exactly. I've got it on my phone and it's on my daughters Kindle (though not in a the kids profile as it can't be added to that). I also use it on my PC occasionally as well.

Does anyone have a Fire Stick and know whether you can download films you have bought from Amazon Video to it?

If not, can anyone recommend a similar USB stick that I could download Amazon films to and just plug it into any TV to watch?

Thanks

I'm not sure many sticks will support doing this as they generally have very low storage capacity, just enough for apps really.

If you contact customer services as I understand it they're normally pretty good at letting you cancel after the fact. They might just deduct £7.99 for a single months membership or something since there's monthly options now as well as the annual one.

A mate has one, you don't download onto it you stream from the service with it. If you have bought stuff via Amazon video it will be available to stream when ever you want.

I want to get something I can download to, to take to places where there is no Wi-Fi / Wi-Fi signal is poor.

Amazon are very good with this sort of thing, if you ask them they'll more than likely just cancel it without charging you.

A tablet would be the way to go then, not a fire stick. You can cache movies in the Amazon video app on fire tablets, android (install the Amazon market app thing and then install amazon video) and iOS then use an adapter to do hdmi etc. For TVs.

My son did this too (he didn't even know he'd signed up for it). We just cancelled it online and it refunded us without doing anything further. I think if you've not used it since you started paying for it, just cancelling will be enough to get your money back.

Yeah you can get Prime cancelled hassle-free. At worst you'll have to pay for one month (around £7.99 I think) depending if you've used it after the trial.
