Most pre-ordered games and perpherals announced at E3 2015

1, Rare Replay, Microsoft
2. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Microsoft
3. Doom, Bethesda
4. Dishonored 2, Bethesda
5. Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix
6. Gears of War 4, Microsoft
7. South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft
8. Horizon Zero Dawn, Sony
9. Dishonored Definitive Edition, Bethesda
10. Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller, Microsoft

Biggest pre-order uplifts following E3 2015

Forza Motorsport 6 - 1005%
Star Wars Battlefront - 857%
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - 690%
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - 488%
Fallout 4 - 467%
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - 382%
Halo 5: Guardians - 344%
Assassin's Creed Syndicate - 243%
Madden NFL 16 - 136%
FIFA 16 - 76%

Note this information tells us less than you might think. For example, we have no idea what pre-orders these games had before the LA show. Forza 6 might have only have one pre-order, with a further 1,005 people pre-ordering following E3. Without knowing the actual change in unit sales, this information does not tell us much.

I don't know what this says about the state of gaming when all we want are games from 15+ years ago.

Im surprised both Gears games are so anticipated, I got the impression people were a little burned out on Gears but it looks like the appetite for cover shooting is still there after all.

Yes?

While Monkey Man is no doubt more a fan of MS's latest offering than the other consoles, I think you guys are reading too much into this. I'm not too sure someone who was a raging militant Xbot would've created a thread dedicated to discussing how well the PS4 was selling, for example.

I'm really glad to see Dishonored 2 so high. The original is one of my favourite games ever so it's good to see that there's a lot of interest in the sequel.

The Elite controller is a bit of a surprise, given its price, but it's good to see that South Park still made the list. Hopefully the sequel won't suffer too much from Obsidian's lack of involvement, which I should really get around to playing :slol:.

I think that Yooka-Laylee showed us that people still really want Rareware games so seeing Rare Replay on the chart isn't much of a shock but occupying the top spot is a welcome sight. Maybe it will lead to negotiations around the release of the GoldenEye 64 remake :shifty:

Wow, the Elite wireless controller in 10th place!

Edit: Hardly the most offensive fanboy topic guys...

I think South Park is the interesting one in that list. There was plenty of positivity when the first was released but I'm surprised it's caught on that much.

I posted the topic as I'm always a bit interested in sales plus it's always good to have a peek at whats popular outside our little bubble.

Gears at No 2 is a bit of a surprise as it's $40 in the US and in the UK it's still being priced at the equivalent of $60 on Amazon & Game. Not sure what the official price is here.
Didn't realise South Park games were so popular, I've yet the play the previous game though which is on my hardrive.
The crazy controller is a bit of a surprise although I guess it's one thing that could sell out.

This does highlight the different approaches to E3.

Microsoft decided to show 2015 titles while leaving out a lot of games coming next year. All of Sony's big games were 2016 and beyond.

You can argue e3 is all about future titles and that new game buzz! Nintendo got it wrong badly by concentrating on their awful 2015 lineup. MS were almost as bad, but had a few good exclusives to shout about.

All in all sony are the only ones who seem to know what gamers want, which is slightly frightening.

I know that when I buy a console, I only want to hear about games that are a year away.
