Good to see some competition. I take it The Beatles will be releasing all their stuff on this, for as far as I can recall they are still refusing to allow any of their stuff on iTunes store? x

I got confused too, I know QFT is quoted for truth, but that typo made me think I was missing something.

Amazon gets your soul instead of Jobs, it's a tough decision to make.

Ah well, iTunes had a good run for me personally. Once I've spent the remaining £10 or so I've got in my iTunes account (someone gave me one of those cards as a gift) I'll start buying stuff from Amazon.

EDIT - On closer inspection pricing is very much variable (some being the same as iTunes for single tracks especially) but it's worth it for the lack of DRM.

I was originally going to download some songs from iTunes but I didn't know at the time that they were in AAC format, which my MP3 player doesn't support. I might consider downloading some from Amazon since they're in MP3 format, and also slightly cheaper.

If the song on iTunes is iTunes Plus (which most are now) it's DRM free and in M4A (I think).

Isn't M4a and AAC pretty much the same thing?

M4A would be a good format if it was supported. Amazon is good old MP3, not brilliant, not bad, but supported by pretty much anything.

I just converted the albums I bought into MP3, they sound exactly the same and work fine on my Zen so I'm not complaining.
