I love you Jawa but I think you need a mental health check up. Just to make sure everything is ok yeah?

Thanks, man! I do enjoy picking up N64 stuff albeit prices have now got out of hand. Luckily I picked up most of my gear from 2008 through 2010. I keep the game boxes in hard plastic covers to potect them; they do a great job.

On the amiibo front I do like the look of the upcoming Animal Crossing characters. Although cost-wise, I just hope that the games turn out to be so bad that they put me off from (trying to) pick up the figures!

Loving all the photos people are posting. Particularly the background collection in some of them (Tales ) and those Japanese N64 titles.

 . I do sometimes have to be a bit careful about my collecting habits! Or, rather, I'm not careful enough.

I hadn't thought of this :o . Surely everyone wants to hook up with a bald, thin middle-aged bloke. Nothing can go wrong :datass: .

If everything is ok then I'm happy for your giddy collecting to continue. :D

I need to either sell one of these or keep it, I'm not sure what to do. I might keep it, but I've boxed the other one back up now for safe keeping. The other is sat on my desk <3

Peach is technically my little sisters but she's 5 and doesn't really understand what they are so my step brother was holding on to it and his is fox. Since I have the most I've become the Amiibo holder. 8-)

It would be a boring picture, as I sadly don't own any. But my inner Nintendo fan boy is lapping this stuff up.

Good pics, Qikz - that's a decent collection forming right there! It's great to see that you have Inkling Girl - I'd quite like to get the Splatoon ones.

If I were you I'd be tempted to keep the two Yoshis. They just look so cool! Of course, should you and Captain K' agree a deal then it'd be going to a good home :toot: .

Nice one, BAKA. Hey, I could add in a photo of my Pac-Man Ghostly Adventures figure!

You amiibo-collecting guys have inspired me to share a few pics of my collection. Here goes!

#1 > Lets get into this with my set of opened amiibos. Nothing spectacular, although the detailing on both Fox and Captain Falcon is superb. Kirby is my favourite!

Image

#2 > I am a bit of a collector and so I initally told myself that I'd get two of each amiibo; one to keep sealed and one to stand on the shelf. It got a tad expensive but I did do this for a while!

Image

#3 > I do have some others that I haven't opened as I just have one of each. I may crack them open at some point but for now they're boxed. I was so pleased to get Pac... the character has such a well-known image!

Image

#4 > After picking up the figures in the previous pics, I took a break and was getting frustrated with the difficulty involved in collecting amiibos. But then... I saw the pre-production versions of the Yarn Yoshis. I couldn't resist getting back onto the amiibo train and I ended up with a bit more than I'd bargained for. And a substantially reduced bank balance. If we were on TFI Fridays in the 90s, I'd nab "Wanker of the week" for this! But... who needs food when you have Yarn Yoshi? :-).

Image

And that's my amiibo collection. I only plan on picking up those that I like rather than trying to "get 'em all". In the near future I have a single Pikmin pre-orderd and that's it. Thanks for... huh? What's that? Hmmn. I do encourage you guys to post interesting stuff alongside your amiibo pics... and I've responded by putting net-curtains behind mine  . I guess I owe you for that. Okay, here is a look at my collection of Japanese and Hong Kong Nintendo 64 games :toot: .

[spoiler]#1 > I don’t have hundreds of titles but I do like my set. Just look at ‘em lining up on display! You know they're gonna be fun!

Image

#2 > Some of you may be very familiar with these, but let me run through them.

bottom row: Bangai-O, Diddy Kong Racing, Dynamite Soccer, F-Zero X, Kirby and the Crystal Shards.
top row: Mario Kart 64, ISS 64, Pilotwings 64, Sin and Punishment, Starfox.

Image

#3 > bottom row: Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth, Star Wars Racer, Shadows of the Empire, Mario 64, Mario 64 (Rumble Edition)
top row: Smash Bros, Wave Race, Wave Race (Rumble Edition), Yoshi’s Story.

Image

#4 > These two deserved their own pic… behold the legendary Ocarina and Majora! I love the artwork on these.

Image

#5 > I like the Hong Kong editions. They play on Japanese consoles but display English text; and they come with English text versions of the manuals, too.

Image

#6 > Finally, we have the Mario Kart 64 Controller Edition and the Starfox Rumble Pak Edition. The controller has a black top with a grey base and looks pretty neat.

Image

Good times. We're so N64, we don't even know it :D .

I hope you collect 'em all so we can see more pics like that.

I remembered that I forgot to reply to this part. Yep, that is indeed an Asterix tin. I loved reading Asterix stories when I was a lot younger. I would always go to the library and borrow whichever ones they had that I hadn't yet read. Now in the age of the internet, I should really try to hunt them all down. I also recorded on VHS the animated movies that came on TV. I don't know if they'd hold up today but I really enjoyed watching them as well.

Anyway, as for the tin, it was actually filled with biscuits when I bought it. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I had to buy it. I can't remember what the biscuits were like but I do remember that I was too interested in the tin to read what they were when I was in the supermarket :slol: This was a few years ago in France and I haven't seen anything like it in England since then.

I also dug out my copy of Galaxy as well to add to my shelf. The statue next to it is one of the Club Nintendo rewards that I managed to get. Hopefully Captain Toad will site beside that in the near future.

Image

The writing is from none other than Charles Martinet. He did a signing for Galaxy a couple of days before the game came out. I didn't have my Wii with my at university so I had to wait until I went home before I could play it but it was great to get to meet the voice behind Mario.

This thread just keeps getting better! Charles "Let's-a-go!" Martinet...that's fantastic. I *think* I recall that the signing session was mentioned in Nintendo Official Magazine. Oh, and it was neat to hear the story behind the Asterix tin :-).

That statue is ace. When it was available I had enough Stars to get it but for some reason I decided not to. That now looks to have been a bad move!

I like the look of that white portable hard drive that has snuck into the picture. It looks like it may be conneted to a white device right at the edge of the photo... possibly a white PS3?

I was always eager to get that statue from Club Nintendo so I jumped on it as soon as I had saved up enough stars. It was a good day :toot:

Funnily enough, the white hard drive is actually attached to the Wii U. I needed extra space to download the games from the Mario Kart 8 promotion and this the only hard drive that I could find.

The white device in the corner is indeed a PS3. I had my reservations about buying a white console, due to potential yellowing, but it was the best priced PS3 that I could find at the time and I really wanted to play Tales of Graces f.

My Japanese Amiibo imports have arrived! :shifty: I kinda ordered them on a whim from Play Asia ages ago, since they were ones I had missed and they were cheap. They were supposed to be part of a reprint, and they arrived today!

I was pretty gutted I missed out on Pit originally, so it's nice to have him at last. I also got Ness, Robin and Rosalina. :toot:

They let you play the campaign levels with specific requirements to make them more challenging. You can unlock unique armour and equipment with each amiibo if you complete these levels.

I'm really surprised that they're still in stock; I managed to add both of them to my basket. I ordered a pair last night so hopefully I'll be able to pick them up tomorrow.
