You amiibo-collecting guys have inspired me to share a few pics of my collection. Here goes!
#1 > Lets get into this with my set of opened amiibos. Nothing spectacular, although the detailing on both Fox and Captain Falcon is superb. Kirby is my favourite!
#2 > I am a bit of a collector and so I initally told myself that I'd get two of each amiibo; one to keep sealed and one to stand on the shelf. It got a tad expensive but I did do this for a while!
#3 > I do have some others that I haven't opened as I just have one of each. I may crack them open at some point but for now they're boxed. I was so pleased to get Pac... the character has such a well-known image!
#4 > After picking up the figures in the previous pics, I took a break and was getting frustrated with the difficulty involved in collecting amiibos. But then... I saw the pre-production versions of the Yarn Yoshis. I couldn't resist getting back onto the amiibo train and I ended up with a bit more than I'd bargained for. And a substantially reduced bank balance. If we were on TFI Fridays in the 90s, I'd nab "Wanker of the week" for this! But... who needs food when you have Yarn Yoshi?
.
And that's my amiibo collection. I only plan on picking up those that I like rather than trying to "get 'em all". In the near future I have a single Pikmin pre-orderd and that's it. Thanks for... huh? What's that? Hmmn. I do encourage you guys to post interesting stuff alongside your amiibo pics... and I've responded by putting net-curtains behind mine
. I guess I owe you for that. Okay, here is a look at my collection of Japanese and Hong Kong Nintendo 64 games
.
[spoiler]#1 > I don’t have hundreds of titles but I do like my set. Just look at ‘em lining up on display! You know they're gonna be fun!
#2 > Some of you may be very familiar with these, but let me run through them.
bottom row: Bangai-O, Diddy Kong Racing, Dynamite Soccer, F-Zero X, Kirby and the Crystal Shards.
top row: Mario Kart 64, ISS 64, Pilotwings 64, Sin and Punishment, Starfox.
#3 > bottom row: Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth, Star Wars Racer, Shadows of the Empire, Mario 64, Mario 64 (Rumble Edition)
top row: Smash Bros, Wave Race, Wave Race (Rumble Edition), Yoshi’s Story.
#4 > These two deserved their own pic… behold the legendary Ocarina and Majora! I love the artwork on these.
#5 > I like the Hong Kong editions. They play on Japanese consoles but display English text; and they come with English text versions of the manuals, too.
#6 > Finally, we have the Mario Kart 64 Controller Edition and the Starfox Rumble Pak Edition. The controller has a black top with a grey base and looks pretty neat.
Good times. We're so N64, we don't even know it
