Is the amiibo fad well and truly over now?

Most shops seem to be selling them at a discount, and long gone are the days when each new shipment was a major news story (together with sighting of rare amiibos).

The only ones I've got are the ones I got in boxsets with games - Mario Maker, Yoshi Story, Captain Toad, Twilight Princess, Splatoon, Smash Bros...think that's it!

I'll definitely buy Wario and I'll probably get Waluigi and Boo too. I'm tempted to get Daisy so I'll then want Peach for my collection as well. Diddy looks great but I already have his Smash version...

Thinking about throwing away my Amiibo packaging. It's already destroyed getting the amiibo out of the box anyway and it will save me lots of room.
