I don't have an edit option. I get:

-select multiple items
-remove shortcut
-disable (greyed out)
-app info

I've gone into the camera settings but nothing in there seems to sort it.

On some phones if your camera is broken things like that can happen. Does the camera work if you try to take a photo from within Facebook Messenger or some such (ie when it's like picture-in-picture)?

Select info then reset storage (make sure your photos are backed up first just incase) it should reset the app to factory settings.

Got it working. It definitely wasn't an issue with the cameria itself as I could access it from the lock screen and from within the gallery, so it was something to do with how it launched I guess. I went into the app info option, cleared the 'data', and bingo. I'd 'reset' the app before but that hadn't do anything. Thanks for the help - phones aren't my strong point (as you can tell).

My OnePlus 3T updated today and my screen looks incredible now.
Like someone had boosted the colour, or the saturation or something.

Even with the brightness around 30%, it's so vivid!

Sorry all, I keep meaning to write a post.

Overall it is pretty great as expected, although it has crashed on me once for seemingly no reason.

It it utterly luxurious to the touch, with the backing made of glass instead of metal, although this raises obvious concerns around durability. I've not dropped it yet and obviously don't plan to, so can't say I'll be testing it any time soon!

Everything runs very smoothly and it's particularly noticeable the speed with which you can swap between apps by double tapping the multitasking button, for example maintaining conversations on WhatsApp while browsing GRcade.

I've not had a really good go with the camera but it seems to be excellent at taking photos, however the videos appear to exhibit terrible image stabilisation, even when attempting to handle pretty tame levels of motion. I need to try it out more to see what's going on there as it significantly detracts from the overall quality.

Back to the build quality and for some reason all four corners of the screen on the front have a poor finish that is very rough to the touch where the screen meets the main body of the phone. It's not good at all but to be honest you will only notice it if you purposefully run your finger/thumb across the barrier, as it's not something you will experience during normal use. I've tested it with my ear in different places as if I'm on a phone call and it's not noticeable.

I haven't got used to the finger print scanner being on the back although I haven't had to, as the face recognition is really good. I'm not keen on the scanner as it doesn't seem to be very good at recognising my finger and I do need to use it every now and then, for example with banking apps.

The screen itself is great. I am a converted fan of the notch, which makes perfect sense one you see it with all the icons around it and the speaker within. The screen appears long and narrow, at least compared with my OnePlus 3, and the appearance in general is satisfyingly bright and detailed, at least to my ever so slightly failing eyesight.

The battery is ridiculously good. It will last you three days with light use and I'd estimate comfortably two days for your average user. Charging appears to be somewhat slower than the OnePlus 3.

Mobile and WiFi signal seems to be stronger than I'm used to.

I've tried one game that I believe is quite intense and reliant on decent performance/specs, Dead Trigger 2, and it runs very impressively. There is no lag or juddering whatsoever and it loads up just about as quickly as waking a Switch from sleep mode!

When I saw it in a shop I was blown away with how vivid the screen was, but I'm coming from an average phone that needs the brightness constantly kept low as to not haemorrhage the battery even more than it already does.

Which model did you go for, 6GB or 8GB RAM? Did it come with a protective case? If not, have you bought one separately?

Saying that a lot of the 3rd party ones I've found on Ebay for my 5 have been good value for money and I'm sure the same will be true for the 6.

That's right, there is a protective case included however it is pretty nasty! I haven't put it on, nor have I considered purchasing a decent case. I may live to regret that decision but I'm not the clumsiest person in the world and I like to live life on the edge .

The word vivid is certainly apt when describing the display. It looks great and although it seems to be very bright I've noticed it doesn't feel as though it is causing my eyes any more fatigue than usual.

One thing I would note is that the auto brightness feature is significantly slower than on the OnePlus 3. It is odd and not exactly ideal having to wait a couple of seconds for it to kick in if you move from a dark environment to a light one, particularly when it was almost instant on a model from two years again.

Something else I wanted to mention is that the ear speaker is the best I've ever used on a phone. Ever. It is very loud (which you can obviously turn down if needed) and crystal clear. A very practical and drastic improvement on the OP3.

I opted for the 8GB model. I thought I would regret it if I went for the 6GB, although I wonder actually just how beneficial the extra memory will be to me in real terms.

I'll note that I've written both these posts using the phone. I am a swipe text veteran which certainly helps, but even so, it's worth pointing out that (for now at least) it is a joy to use the phone even for writing long posts/emails.

I've just bit the bullet and ordered an OP6 in silk white

This is the first time I'll have bought a new android device without having lost the old one first. Is there a way of copying the contents of the old phone to the new one so that all the apps, data, messages, logins, photos etc all get copied across as if you've just cloned the phone?

I can't remember exactly how it happened now but it did. I think it just took everything off what was either backed up on Google or saved on the SIM. It took quite a while, but to be fair it was a lot of gigabytes of data.

Yeah just sign in and everything should start to download and configure itself. Might be worth going through your current phone and deleting any app you dont use any more as the new one will try to download everything you currently have installed.

During setup you can tap your phones together and transfer the google account via NFC.

Oh gooseberry fool yeah, I forgot about that, that is pretty cool.

Ah, my current phone doesn't have NFC capability (Moto G3), am I restricted to just the download from Google?

From memory there is an app called Titanium that allows a backup of your phone to PC then you add titanium to your new device and download the backup to your new phone.

I'm pretty sure they're a number of apps that do the same.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Would that backup include things like messages, log in details, game progress etc? When I did a Google download for my current phone when new none of that came with it, though perhaps I hadn't set it up to be backed up in the first place.

Titanium needs root access.
