I think I like the Board James videos moreso than the AVGN reviews these days. I wish he would jump to the next gen (PS1/SAT/N64) though, as he's clearly out of material from the 8 and 16 bit eras.

The thing that makes the earlier games so funny to rip apart is that they were made before developers and publishers had proper quality controls. These days its rare to find a game that is shitty on that kind of level; although they do pop up now and again (Road to Hell is a recent example).

These days, yeah, but in the mid-90s they were still in abundance; Superman 64, Carmageddon etc.

Steam Early Access is full of them.

Hell, even as late as PS2 they were still plentiful.

Anyone know when the AVGN game is coming out on Wii U e Shop over here? It's been 2 months since the American release?

He tends to focus on licenced games, in particularly those that were based on a film.

Hence why he reviewed Independence Day on PlayStation and Superman 64.

There's plenty more like Batman & Robbin on PlayStation he's not done yet.

I don't see him doing Batman & Robin if only because he already did two Batman themed episodes.

Anyone else bothered by James's attempts to cover his increasingly balding forehead? In some episode the comb-over (comb-forward?) looks like a toupee flouting on his head. Either that or he's wearing a cap.

Just shave it off!!

Worse still for the Nostalgia Critic, his forehead gets any bigger and he will blind people.

Decent episode, although there was an even better video on that game that GoodBadFlicks did a while back.

Their October Monster Madness was really fantastic this year. I watched a lot of movies based on their recommendations.

I think that the Board James stuff is getting a little too surreal what with the whole parallel universe to AVGN thing going on. I'm starting to prefer the simple out of character James and Mike Mondays vids now.

I like Board James even more than AVGN. It's been hugely entertaining the past 2 months or so.

Mike beat Ninja Gaiden 3 this week on stream. The viewers witnessed true rage. Far worse than any AVGN rant.
